Stopped at Jim snack to get some dumplings during lunch hour and there was a queue....which is normal since it was lunch time. I ordered take out and was served in about 2 minutes. The dumplings as usual were delicious. In my opinion, during the last 23 years of eating dumplings in the city of Port Louis, this is the best spot to go to.

If you go during lunch hour, you might have to wait quite a bit as their indoor dining is small. Quite a few people order takeout and have the dumplings or noodles at their place of work or home. Jim is simply the current best shop in the island when it comes to boulettes.

Shame that they don’t offer a drive-thru option since it’s quite a right squeeze just to get in and order your food, let alone eat there.

I would strongly recommend that you consider take away instead of dine-in.

Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and very quick. They also offer payment by juice if you’re worried about contact-less payments.
