Was fortunate to find parking in the road adjacent to the Jummah masjid for our trip to Central Market. Decided to pray Jummah salah there. Ample toilet facilities there. They have ladies section on the opposite side to the main entrance. It was cool inside with all the fans. Urdu khutba before the actual Arabic khutba. Most people wouldn't have understood the khutba at all if they don't understand Arabic. Masjid is nice and well maintained.

i have never been to this mosque.. but one day i will be surely .. InshaAllah wa-tallah! This masjid has been built by MEMON COMMUNITY in mid 18th century i think! May Allah showers his blessings on all the mankind and give jannah to the people who built this mosque .. Just google about MEMON COMMUNITY. u will get to know about it and their histories!

"Mosque of the Arabs” is a mosque in Port Louis, Mauritius dating from the 1850s. The building combines Indian, Creole and Islamic architecture. Nice.

I give only 3⭐️ because of cool serene atmosphere even during hot summer of Port Louis and the beauty of the ancient infrastructure.

However the mausoleum of a Saint as narrated by many is not in a correct place facing almost the Qiblah. I wonder what was the intention and the need to bury a Saint in front of a mosque this does not sound correct and logical as prayer is for Allah alone. We do not pray in front of a buried Saint. It seems that it is a sufi thing to do and completely normal for them.

Furthermore the management of the establishment need to include more brilliant people outside of the memon society in their board and treat people of different origins equally with respect and stop imposing their ancestor's Gujurati culture and urdu speaking as these are not islamically related and only serve as to boost their already inflated ego.

They need more openmindedness and bring preachers and hafiz from Arabic or African countries specially during Ramadan...

I stumbled upon Jummah Masjid while exploring the local market, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. This mosque is not only a place of worship but also a beautiful and well-maintained architectural gem. The spacious interior provides a peaceful atmosphere for prayer, and the meticulous upkeep is evident.

One unique feature that caught my eye was the lovely fish pond, which adds to the serenity of the surroundings. It’s a serene touch to this spiritual place. The location is convenient, making it accessible for both tourists and locals.

Overall, my visit to Jummah Masjid was a memorable one, combining spirituality with aesthetics. I recommend it not only for prayers but also as a cultural and architectural gem to explore...

The Mosque and infrastructure are amazing. The control over the people who come in and go out is great, ever since covid came around. It is a rather comforting place to be. The people who voluntarily keep the place in a good condition are to be rewarded by God, Ameen. The wudhu khana and open library are phenomenal.

However, the toilets could be improved on just a little bit. Fortunately, there are various choices of toilets available but their maintenance could be improved. Also, the people working around the mosque could learn some good manners as bad manners are unbefitting of Muslim...
