WARNING! Detailed review-read until the end =) I went here last night with a party of 11 and hence some..uhm..slight hardships I am still extremely satisfied with the the service and experience that I received/had. Upon arrival, we had to wait a few mins because the host was on the phone buy she relayed that to me and apologized for the wait. Our table was not ready (we made a reservation online the day before), but we were told we could lounge in the bar/outside area-this allowed us to unwind and take pictures. This was where the first foul happened. Sat on the However, I realized that about 20 or so minutes when by and no one came to seat us when they said it would be 2-5mins. After speaking with a host, we were comped one drink per person and seated shortly after. This is when I experienced another party foul when a bowl of ice, ice water and crab legs was accidentally spilled on my lap. Now, at this point I'm am definitely on the verge of leaving BUT i ask for a manager and I am VERY impressed and satisfied by way he handled this situation. (Wish I knew his name, will update the review if I find out)..But he made me feel, welcome, at ease and rectified my situation until I was satisfied with the customer service. THIS IS IMPORTANT. The night would have been wayyy different for me if he wouldn't have been a pleasure to speak with. I appreciate the stellar customer service I received. Now onto food/service So I know it can be a lot to handle with a large group (there was 11 of us) but I think the servers definitely did their best to act accommodate us. One suggestion I do have is for them to do a better job of remembering identifying how to distribute the food. When food was brought to the table, no one ever knew who it belonged to ending up in the food being placed in front of the wrong person or us yelling asking who got this who got this...so maybe a way to write on the receipt on the orders how to recognize what is what (maybe for larger parties assign a number per chair in on the order that way you know who is who...)idk how it works but just a tip on how it could have been smoother and lessened frustrations. BUT THE FOOD WAS AMAZINGGG. Through it all I cant say negative things about the food. Everyone had an amazing meal-it had some people even doing little dances! The table orders ranged steak, to lobster, to salad, to salmon...everyone was very pleased. I ordered a salmon entree as well as the Burrata. Perfectttt. I forget which salmon one i ordered but I tried both (other people had the one I did not order) and it was great. Food was flavorful and exactly the way I wanted!! If you want great tasting food come here!! There's also something for everyone which is also great. Prices are also extremely reasonable. Great food always makes the night! I feel like the servers for me went above and beyond especially after my night had started off and I truly appreciate it. Ambience: So there's dim romantic type lighting in there, butttt there is music. Not calm either, like ubeat get you moving music. They bring out sparklers at points...so not a place to go in you're trying to have a deep conversation in a quiet environment. There's a place connected to it, I'm not sure if that was a part of their restaurant or another, as well as outdoor seating (again not sure if that was a part of their restaurant or not so dont quote me! call if curious). But the place is very very nice! Other: So they were very patient with us as the group figured out the bill (you know how a bill with 11 people can get especially when everyone has various ways to settle the tab)-but it was handled. It was my cousin in laws birthday and he was brought cake, and we drank and sang with the cute sparklers and it was just a great way to end the dinner and the night. I think that this place is great. I would definitely go back and everyone agreed that if you want quality food THIS IS THE PLACE. So thank you for your patience, your customer service and for making sure that this experience was one...

This restaurant nails the food, drinks, and atmosphere — but the service was shockingly bad. What should have been a fantastic night on a Saturday night at Rosanegra Cancun quickly turned into a frustrating one. Our party of 4 (sisters celebrating my 50th bday) decided to set out to the restaurant from our resort in Playa Mujeres, a 40-min drive, on Sat night. Our waiter was Rene - right off the bat, I could tell he was not interested in engaging much. He referred us a mixologist when I had basic questions about the cocktail menu. He had very little information when I asked about popular appetizers. He was just in a rush! The assistant who brought us our food was much nicer and more attentive, but also rushing around. Rene did not check in on us EVEN ONCE during the course of our dinner! My birthday dessert (complimentary) came with no utensils - my sister had to physically get up, and go ask for utensils! We asked for the hookah menu and ordered one that came recommended by a random female server in our area and 45-mins later, we were still waiting for it! We were repeatedly ignored, had to chase down staff for basic needs, and the level of inattentiveness was unacceptable for a place of this caliber. By the end, we had no choice but to involve the manager just to get through the experience. He was apologetic and offered to resolve all the issues but we were beyond frustrated at this time. Manager did comp all our (five) cocktails on the bill as an apology.

The food was all fantastic! We tried the following. Appes: lobster tacos, shrimp tacos, guacamole, Boing salad, and hamachi tiradito. Dinner: Filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, ahi tuna, mashed potatoes, rustic potatoes, asparagus. Dessert (complimentary): chocolate cake roll with whipped cream. The DJ/music topped it all! He was spinning some beyond amazing beats! The “get up and dance” experiences were super fun too!

In my opinion, it’s disappointing that such great food and ambience were completely overshadowed by service this poor. Until they seriously address their staff and training, I can’t recommend this spot despite everything else it does right. There HAS TO BE some level of classy and skilled service to match everything else RN...

Booked through OpenTable, our waiter was good no issue with him. food was good. Drinks have very minimal alcohol had to order additional shots to create an alcoholic beverage. Waitstaff you will encounter only older gentleman no female waitstaff which I feel females pay attention to detail and are friendlier when serving you. The reason for the 2 ⭐️⭐️ it was very hot, no AC was on and the establishment had no ceiling fans or let alone out side water misters to cool you down or create a fresh breeze! for the amount of money you pay for this place AC should be expected! I prefer a cool comfortable atmosphere as I’m trying to eat dinner instead we were sitting there trying to enjoy our dinner you are sweating and feeling nauseous due to the heat! And as a female all your makeup begins to sweat off. The check arrived and they proceeded to run the credit card 5 times and said ohh “credit card machine isn’t taking visas” we were not notified prior to ordering that visa wasn’t working, they make you feel like something is wrong with you for trying to use your Visa card and began to bully you into using other forms of payment but when traveling we carry one card and minimal cash, they proceeded to tell us to use other forms of payment which after 20 minutes of them trying to scramble and get a machine to work we finally just gave cash since they weren’t doing anything to fix the situation other than say sorry no visa and she kept trying to swipe the card and get a different outcome. we proceeded to tell her not to keep running it after 5x since it can cause the card to get blocked. As we sat and waited for the change we noticed they were telling the other patrons the same thing “card machine not working” I don’t understand how a very busy restaurant with indoor and outdoor tables all filled and not one empty chair in sight does not have a working credit card machine! From the looks of it some type of fraud is going on where they try to pull cash out of their patrons! Definitely will not recommend this place!
