OMG! Come here! We went for some sports bar food and we were blown away by the service. We had Ana for our server and she was amazing. She asked if we were celebrating anything special and we told her it was our wedding anniversary. After we finished our sampler tower and relaxing, Unchained Melody started playing and the disco lights came on. To our surprise, the entire staff came out to our table with a dessert decorated with "Happy Anniversary" and they all congratulated us. It was completely unexpected and absolutely wonderful. Champions at Marriott Cancun is a very convenient option for late night dinner or snack while staying at the resort. Their late opening hours made it convenient for me to have dinner after a late arrival to the resort. Their menu is a mix of American bar food and Mexican options. I saw several pictures of their burgers which made it tempting to try one but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The burger was very dry and lacking in flavor. Champions Grill on the Casa Magna property is exactly what you would expect of a typical sports bar from the US. I happened to visit for lunch on Sunday and they had every major NFL game playing on what seemed to be like TVs or projection screens all around you. This is one of the few places open for lunch service on the Casa Magna property and it's a good choice for a day or two. I had the cheese sticks and the mixed sliders.
