After a whole month in Guanajuato, this has been hands down our favorite meal here. Started out with delicious mango mezcal, totopos, frijoles, and salsas on the house. We had the plato cervantino mixto and every part of it was crispy, hot, and delicious. Both of our entrees, enchiladas mineras and arracherra tampiqueña, were amazing and great portions for the price. My arracherra was seasoned perfectly and tender and my wife’s enchiladas mineras with chicken were the best we’ve had. This review is in regards to the bar that leads to callejon del beso at street level. The bar tender in the Foto (Jesus) made this by far the best little bar in the whole city of Guanajuato. The dedication he gives to every drink is nothing short of amazing. His knowledge and customer service went way above and beyond of anything we could have expected. 8 months ago I wrote that this place was really good. I don’t know if the owner/manager has changed but since October the food got quite bad while prices remain the same. Service is very slow but nice, although waiters decide themselves which music to play and at which volume, which generally results in a terrible ambiance.
