After our two week vacation in mexico and eating traditional Mexican dishes at various restaurants, I can say with certainty that Lolita's was my absolute favorite!
As other reviewers have mentioned, it may be overwhelming to have owners from the different Fonda's yell out for your attention to eat at their establishment, but after trying others, I can vouch that Lolita goes an extra step with her dishes.
First off, she offers homemade salsas and tostadas, including salsa macha for the table (which I didn't see at others). Next, all her food is fresh to order, so the dishes come out piping hot and with a side of refreshing crema. It seems she works alongside her daughter and both of them are extremely attentive and friendly to serve you.
We tried multiple dishes (enchiladas mineras, enchiladas Verde con queso fundido, and chile relleno) and they were all absolutely delicious! We also had a the guayaba agua fresca, which was the best agua fresca we've ever had!
We are epic food snobs, and it was hard to find a place delicious enough that we wanted to go back multiple times, but we finally found it here at Lolitas!
