This is definitely a place with 5 stars, unless you have very low food standards. We saw the reviews and were excited to try the great food, but unfortunately it was dissappoiting for many reasons. They seem to be saving money from everything…The meal option which is more expensive, basically has the same stuff as the wrap, plus a couple of fries, and a smaller piece of bread than you’d get with the wrap. They upsale you a topping (which makes no sense when you are already buying a meal), and the dip for the fries that comes with the meal. So by selling you the meal, they make you pay atleast 5 euros more than the meal price. So the photo of a meal you see, includes items you have to pay extra for (e.g. 2.5 euros for 1/4 of a small avocado). Customer service is also a mess…they are also not attentive, we shared a meal but received one fork and had to ask for another. The service is not fast, and the ventilation of the place is not good, so be prepared to smell like food when you leave. The taste is ok, nothing special you would forgive all these problems for. I wonder how people would rate such a place 5 🤔

We were served by the same Syrian man (probably owner) who is seeing in their marketing video that is played on loop on their screen. We were given the menus + their iPad to show us pictures of their menu … which we thought was not necessary but nice gesture so we took it. But that was a misleading tactic. As the plates on their iPad is not matching their menu prices (While the menu says 16 euros we paid 24 for the same and they don't show the price difference on their tablet). + While it says in the menu that the wraps comes with fries we were charged 6 euros extra for fries on top for 5 euros for sauces that we didn’t even touch (same portions as the ones seeing in the picture). The food was ok for a kebab store but not for the 42 euros we paid. There are way many other local places that are way better for same or lower prices.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lila Restaurant in Amsterdam, and I can confidently say it offers the best Arabic food outside of the Middle East. The dishes are incredibly authentic, bursting with flavors that feel homemade, which is a delightful surprise given the touristy surroundings. The staff's friendliness added to the wonderful experience, with Majid standing out for his exceptional hospitality. His warm and attentive service made our visit even more memorable. As someone well-versed in Middle Eastern cuisine, I highly recommend Lila to anyone seeking a genuine taste of Arabic culinary traditions. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this gem is not to be missed.

I visited this fast-food joint yesterday to try their kebab roll, and I can confidently say this will be both my first and last visit. The reason is twofold: poor food and even poorer customer service.

Firstly, the food was significantly subpar. The salad was clearly stale, and the kebab tasted as though it had been sitting out for far too long. After eating, I experienced stomach pain, which in itself is a deterrent for any future visits.

But what was even worse than the poor food was the treatment I received from the man behind the counter. I had a busy day and politely asked how long it would take for my food to be ready. The response I got was unexpected and unprofessional. He raised his voice, saying that I had only been waiting for 7 minutes, as if that somehow justified the situation. It turned out that my kebab was actually ready, but he had forgotten to give it to me. To make matters even worse, he slammed the kebab roll onto the table in front of me and began speaking in Arabic.

When I mentioned that I didn't understand Arabic, he continued to speak in the same language as if he were trying to provoke me further. It is entirely unacceptable to treat customers in this manner, especially when he was the one who made the mistake.

So unless you're looking for a combination of poor food and terrible customer service, I would strongly recommend avoiding this...

I normally order from Lila at least once a week so I know how good the food can be…however my last two orders have been disappointing. After many good runs my first disappointment came last week in the form of their chicken wrap..something about it tasted so off I couldn’t even eat half the wrap and had to throw it out. Yesterday I decided to give it another try, and got the chicken meal. Not sure if it being Sail Amsterdam weekend and there being a lot of tourist around had anything to do with how bad the food was because the fries were over salted, the chicken was dry and they didn’t even bother to give me a pita bread (my order was for a meal and it usually comes with a pita bread). I always order take away and usually trust that the order is right. So you can imagine my surprise when I get home and half the order is missing when I already paid full price....
