Floating Market — Local services in Curaçao

I have a chance to visit this place in June 2024. Have to admit, it was very hot and humid.

Check out this place if you have some free time. It's not a must. It's located closer to Queen Wihelmina Bridge, at the end of the road.

If you live in the USA, this place is similar to a swap meet, primarily selling fruits, vegetables, and fish. Don't ever think you get a bargain to buy cheaper. I learned that if you don't speak their language, you seem to pay a higher price compared to the local people. Try to bargain as much as possible. They seem to jack up the price. 😮‍💨

Go here. You have to see the colors of all the produce. I have never seen a driver by fruit stand. Some vendors place a small assortment of fruit in a plastic bag and simplify pass it through the window of a passing car in exchange for payment. The fishing boats are also there selling fresh ( hours old ) fish right if the bows if their boat. Lots of great fresh fruits and vegetables! Loved haggling with the Venezuelan sellers. They are quite quick to get your attention but ask questions and be firm in highlighting what you want and don't want. Very decently priced!
