Terrible experience today!!! Background: I sometimes shop at Aldi simply because it is closer to my house, but I really DON’T RECOMMEND IT: the quality and variety of the food are incredibly unsatisfying; the shop never looks clean and tidy, especially in the objects/forniture/toilet paper section it always seems like a tornato has just passed. I also noticed that employees seem often just bored, unhappy, not caring at all, and they don’t even try to hide it. Maybe today I discovered why. While I was shopping, a blond woman almost bumped into me while walking backwards (without looking behind her) with a machine. Instead of being professional, she started being RUDE to me claiming it was my fault and really talking to me in the most UNPROFESSIONAL way. I was shocked, but I couldn’t imagine what was going to happen later. When I went to the cassa, I asked the guy (DUTCH, unfortunately) if I could complain about something, and when I told him a blond woman had just been very rude to me, he’s answer was “she’s the manager”, “she’s Dutch, it’s normal”, “I can’t do anything cause she is the manager”. Not only he didn’t show a bit of empathy and interest (I was visibly upset with tears in my eyes), these excuses show how bad the system works there. IF SHE IS THE MANAGER, IT IS EVEN WORSE IF SHE’S RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Moreover, I have been living here for 3 years and I also work at a supermarket, but never in my life would I be rude to a costumer, and my managers (ALL DUTCH) are the nicest and most respectful person in the world. This kind of situation is not “normal”, it...
Read moreAldi in Maastricht is a no-frills, dependable spot to stock up on everyday essentials. The selection may not rival a gourmet emporium, but it covers the basics well, and you can always count on good value for money. Plus, there’s usually a fun surprise in the middle aisle—who doesn’t love discovering random treasures like cozy socks or a mini waffle maker?
What really sets this location apart is the parking: plenty of spaces and easy access make it a stress-free choice, especially in a city where parking can feel like a competitive sport.
Overall, Aldi Maastricht is a practical, budget-friendly option. It’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers what you need with the added bonus of hassle-free parking. A solid choice for...
Read moreI recently visited the store and unfortunately had a disappointing encounter with one of the employees. I approached a staff member to request assistance with the malfunctioning can deposit machine in a friendly manner, expecting a helpful response. However, I was met with rudeness and unprofessional behavior. The employee's response was dismissive and lacked any attempt to address the issue. They bluntly stated that I should come back later due to the crowd and their apparent lack of time to attend to the machine. As a customer, I believe that if a service is offered, it should be supported adequately or, at the very least, customers should be informed respectfully of any limitations or...
