Big Pot Buffet Takeaway — Local services in Christchurch

First time I went there (around 8ish - so leftover/closing time) I got bad food poisoning from this place about an hour after eating it, so 1 star. The next time I tried them a year later, food was hot, fresh, and tasty and fill up a takeaway container for $11 - so 4.5 stars. The next time after that food was average, with meagre portions of meat, and overloaded with veges. This place has gone down hill hoping to bulk their food up with batter/flour (fried pineapple is 80% batter, their fried crab is all 90% bread with a bit of shreded crab flavour surimi just so they can bulk up when you try to fill your container up) Sweet and sour pork/chicken is heavily coated in batter. I don't see this place surviving with their food hygiene standards, and shoddy business practice. Overall, a gamble on some good and bad food. Value for money 3 stars out of 5. I got the $11.50 container. I tried the place because I heard that they were a delicious place but weren't getting enough business because of all the competition around them. Anyways the moment I go in, the lady was very very polite. I ended up getting noodles, satay chicken, black bean beef, chicken and veges. I filled my container up and then the lady jam packed it even more, once I held the container it was heavy!!! The food tasted good and I was pleased with the portion and price. It's not my favourite Chinese food in chch but if I wanted a large meal with many different options then I would definitely pick this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting a large meal that will fill them up, that would be nutritious with meat and veges etc and taste delicious. Ive been going for almost 3 years, loved the food, amazing service, They make sure your contaner is full so you get the best value, ive had the head staff say "more, more" then help me fit more into the box, Quick tip, the large contaner has almost 4x as much food as the medium and only $10 more ish, dose me 3 meals and sometimes 2 snacks for $25, its a shame the price has gone up but even so i still think ita the best value and probably more healthy then other fast food, The food selection is amazing, i love evey part of going there each fortnight, they have earnt a life long customer from me and i cannot stress how amazing they are as both a food provider and as...
