What a great market! Heaps of merchant stalls selling all types of unique things and also loads of food stalls. They had two different musicians, seating, and fun oversized games like chess. I'm pretty sure they're up and running from 10-2.

A reasonableocal market. 10 am to 2 pm Saturdays only. Has a few local suppliers and worth a look. They sell honey and timber products. Also good coffee at the Switch come, that is about 5 minutes walk from the end of the market.

The beachside looks filthy. More can be done to make it more attractive for tourists and families. Lots of glass on the pavement and carpark. Driftwood that is present at the bottom of all stairs can be gathered with say a tractor with a net. Christchurch residents pay enough rates to have a clean beachfront. Shops...

It was ok! Plenty of shops and close to the beach, plenty of parking spots too so that ain't a problem. I guess the selection of shops just wasn't for me but all in all, we enjoyed roaming around under the sunshine on a Saturday morning in this market. Hopefully more shops...
