Seaview Rd Fisheries — Restaurant in Christchurch

We were visiting the area and decided to grab some fish n chips to have at the beach in New Brighton. Stumbled across Seaview Rd Fisheries. Lovely couple served us, the place was tidy. We got a scoop of chips and I would have given 5 stars for the food if the chips were slightly more cooked, they were soft inside but lacked the crispy outside. However the fish was delicious, perfect amount of batter and the hotdog was yum. But my absolute favourite was the Banana Fritter, omg I absolutely died and went to heaven eating that...so delicious and crunchy yet the banana inside soft and melt in your mouth, with a sprinkling of sugar on the outside!!! Great friendly owner/operator.....we ordered fish, chips, mini spring rolls and Pacific oysters. Disappointed with the oysters, dry and very small...looked like they were seconds or just bits of oyster in one or two cases. Apart from that, very nice fish and chips. No vegetarian spring rolls available so got the mini rolls...wouldn't get them again but nothing wrong with the quality or the cooking....
