Panadero Bakery — Restaurant in Christchurch

19th January 2019 - This is a Filipino bakery that is located at the Peerswick mall, next to the Kapre Filipino Grill.

Anyway, they sell many varieties of donuts, buns and cakes. I haven't tried it all but the ones that I had were delicious 😋. They even got my favorite bun with coconut filling. They also sell coffee and cold drinks.

The interior layout is well set up for this bakery with a few high chairs and a long bar table next to the windows. The place is well-lit and it feels kinda cosy.

Overall, the food is unbelievable good and delightful. Also, the staff is very nice and friendly, and I had to say their customer service is fantastic.

There is no outdoor dining area.

They accept cash and EFTPOS excluding credit card payments (also, Paywave payments are not available, for those who want to know).

Hi I’m a returning customer who lives locally, for your business’s sake you need to have a chat with the staff who’s in the shop by herself around 4pm on August 6th 2024. I asked questions because I was confused by the product/price tags showing in the cabinet, instead of being helpful she was being sarcastic and told me that the price of the products are all there to be seen, she repeatedly refused to answer my questions and basically told me that I need to read after I order something that is sold out. I had to ask her to come out from the back of the counter and have a look herself, she then realised the tags were in the wrong positions, which confused me in the first place. Seriously a conversation needs to be had, I work in the customer service industry and this is the kind of behaviour that hurts...

Had requested for a customized cake , explained in detail and given pictures as exampl,but not given the cake as explained, with the highlighting symbol needed for the occassion missing. Also, when rang the shop (up riccarton)to enquire about the cake to collect, staff does not know where the order was taken, asking 100 questions but rung back to inform that the cake is ready in their shelf. Also, rang about 15 times ,2 days after to inform about the “missing design “ - as i was out of station, and to book for another cake as it was delicious , no one tried to pick the call which was also disappointing.
