Excellent Bridge. 27th November 1879 Union Bridge was opened. I really enjoyed viewing & gaining a greater perspective on this bridge & history. The bridge has a B Classification from the NZ Historical Places Trust. The bridge covers the total span of the river without the use of columns & has played a critical role in the history of Hamilton.
