I didn’t get enough sleep and was feeling under the weather. So, I was somewhat dreading my Pilates practice. I decided to go at a fairly easy pace, but with Sandra’s encouragement, she had me move with a little more zest. With each exercise, another gentle nudge to move more energetically. There was one moment where I felt like I brought on a mega hot flash, only it was a deep internal sweat that felt like a fever, except it felt good. I had an a-ha moment, “Oh, I’m detoxing!” And it felt like I sweated out all that tired-funky.” It was also baffling to me, “Where did all this untapped energy come from?” Maybe I was tired, but perhaps I was sluggish because I had too much stored energy that needed to be expended.
