Little Shoal Bay is a nice relaxing family friendly beach located between the Birkenhead and Northcote Point of the North Sore region in Auckland. It can be accessed by Maritime Terrace from the Birkenhead end or Queen St/ Rodney Rd/ Church Rd in the Northcote Point. It is a destination on its own, having a picnic area with BBQ, toilet facilities, a small beach for swimming, a playground and over the road, bowling club, a tennis court and a basketball court. this is a great place for recreational purposes! there are so many facilities there - basketball court, tennis court, bowls, cricket pitch, field, gym facility, playground, beach, boat parking, scouts den and more - to name a few. I recommend this space for public gatherings, it's a nice place to go to for a swim in summer as well. there are a few problems such as the swampyness of the cricket pitch, the king tides covering the field and a couple more that need to be fixed but over all I highly recommend this...
