Maharaja Indian- Koutu — Local services in North Island

As I write this review I am eating a beautiful Khadi Chicken from Maharaja Indian Takeaways. This isn't the first time I've made a review on this place and I have been going here for my Indian food cravings fairly often for the past year.

A few dishes I really love are the Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh and this the Khadi Chicken. I have yet to try others that peak my interest, in saying that every time I have ordered these meals they have been 100% consistently great, usually stores like this one can vary in taste and texture so often that it puts me off, but Maharaja has always been very consistent which makes me love the food even more!

See for yourself in the picture attached to this review, the rich orange color of the Khadi Chicken and the beautiful, crispy bits on the Garlic Naan bread.

Their customer service is top notch! Always so welcoming, warm and friendly the staff are among the friendliest people I have ever met, they always have a smile, they make conversations that are more than just small talk and sometimes they even go so far as to offer me a drink when it's hot out, that simple act of kindness speaks volumes about how much these people truly care about their customers.

I love Maharaja and so long as they keep up the consistently great customer service, and flavorsome food I will always, always go...

Totally awesome takeaway - only found as I with friends from a different suburb of Rotorua ... It looks very ordinary from outside, the sort of place you might easily overlook BUT the food was as good as I've had any place in NZ and the onion bhaji's ... well, to me an OB is a good test, just like you might test a Euro chef by asking for an omellet and this chef makes a perfect OB ! Really enjoyed everything, entree OB, paneer based main course and a superb naan (to mop up the sauce) I'll be back next time I'm down in Rotovegas and I'll be shipping some extra back to Hamilton with...

Simply delicious wow 👏 this is one of the best curry shop I have ever tried and I've tried heaps. I had mango chicken mild and that was just beautiful every taste bud was dancing in delight let me tell you !! My family also ordered lamb Rogan josh and butter chicken they wore also very impressed and very satisfied with there order. I can tell the cook puts alot of love into his food which is why it tastes so lovely thank you for a out of this world experience with your tasty culinary skills. We will definitely be back. See you again...
