Origin Fresh Food Store — Local services in South Island

Have had an unfortunate experience ordering from Origin Fresh Food Store. I placed an online order for delivery on the 23rd. After not hearing anything I sent an email on the 27th asking for a follow up, received a reply on the 30th letting me know that they've had website issues and hadn't received my order. I completely understand that, not something one can control. They let me know that my order was being packed, it was going to be delivered that day and they had thrown in some extra goodies to say sorry which I thought was a sweet gesture. I never received my order that day. Finally it arrived the next day (today) and I find that not only are there no "goodies" (which I wasn't expecting anything free but if something is promised it's disappointing if it's then not delivered upon) but part of my order, the main thing I ordered in fact, is not there with no explanation as to why. I try calling twice to have it go straight to voicemail and finally my boyfriend goes to the shop in person to see what's going on. Turns out the items were out of stock and just never communicated to us. After all of that we were only offered store credit, instead of a refund which I find quite disappointing after all that back and forth. I'd heard rumours of this place long before I managed to visit. We'd be driving past at 60km/h in the inside lane and say "there's that blue place"! Today we were in the right lane, able to stop and wow! There's a dedicated vegan freezer with things I'd never seen before, beans in catering sized tins, giant olive containers, fresh veg, loose nuts and everything at great prices. I love this place. Every time I go to Dunedin I go there. They have a great variety of food items and the service is outstanding. The staff are consistently wonderful to deal with and they offer over the phone payments. I sometimes order and prepay especially for their amazing specials, so that I know I will be able to access those awesome sales when I hit town. If you live in town, go there and check them out.
