Updated after owner responded. To Brooklyn Flowers
Thanks for taking my feedback and responding. Actually, the quality of wrapping and flowers (except the state) were great so I have changed my review score to reflect it. I will see how it is like to see the flowers blooming and I will order again next time if we are satisfied.
Kind regards, David Ordered pink tulip for same day delivery. My review below is subjective.
Service - 5 Made a few phone calls and the service was good.
Delivery - 5 Same day delivery happened as stated on the website.
Price - 5 I think that the price is reasonable.
Quality - 3 I have never purchased/seen closed flowers being sold from florists in my life. I enquired it to the staff over the phone why all the flowers are closed and she kindly explained to me that they sell closed flowers all the time because there are many people complaining about flowers dying too quick if they sell open flowers. To be honest, I wasn't really convinced. Why wouldn't you just buy them from plant shop if you wanna keep them home for a long time. I don't think poeple buy flowers from florists to see the flowers blossom over a few weeks at home but to give someone the flowers when they are open and beautiful. I'd rather buy them from plant shops if I wanted to keep and see them opening at home. I have asked around people about it to see if it was just me who feels this way and their responses were same as mine. I think you should have at least an option to buy open flowers or a statement on the website to notify the consumers that the closed flowers will be delivered.
Overall - 3 I personally won't buy flowers from this shop again according to the...
Read moreI got my flowers as a gift and I wanted to know which company they used. The flowers looked amazing but when I opened it up and looked closely... I noticed the lack of attention to detail. Overall it's hard to explain the love and care you feel through small details and companies do it differently. Some companies use pretty stickers, some companies give free flower food and some companies even use nice handwriting for the card message, it really depends on the company. But this company didn't do anything like that.
Anyway, packaging. The plastic used was this bag in the photo. Like the ones used in dollar stores and tied like takeaway. And the bag with the white wet paper inside felt like a full diaper, functionally it's all fine though. And the twine used to hold the bouquet together looked like cheap plastic twine that you're supposed to keep on, as per instructions on the card, photo of tie included. Which I had to replace since I use clear vases and it stood out. I'm sure there's good reason so I'm not looking for trouble despite my disappointment. The flowers look fresh atleast and...

$40 to deliver a $75 arrangement to Huapai, West Auckland.
Driver “couldn’t get anyone’s attention at the gate”. Delivery failed and now I have pay for delivery again. Another $40. For day old flowers.
The delivery will cost more than the arrangement.
It would have been cheaper and more effective to Uber
I am dismayed by the lack of concern, customer service and accountability.
I did not buy flowers - I bought the delivery of the flowers. On the date specified. For a birthday.
Overall a very disappointing experience.
Update: despite the advice that the flowers would be delivered this afternoon. They have already been delivered. Underlining a lack of effective control by Brooklyn Flowers.
But. A thank you to the driver who had...
