I hosted a charity evening here with the amazing Longroom crew there to support at every step of the way. The venue is absolutely lovely but thats obvious even just from pictures, the staff is what makes it special so here we go!
Andrew the co-owner such a legend, so generous, clearly knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to people and hospitality.
Gabby the event manager incredible communication, incredible organisation. There to support through everything. Cared so much.
Danny (I think is her name but I am so bad with names!) greeted me multiple times as I visited the venue in the lead-up. So lovely.
Joe the young English lad so so so lovely and the absolutely so sweet and lovely French woman who I didnt get her name, she's so nice.
Finally, Rob who is one of the managers. Literally the happiest lad ever who has a laugh that brightens a room and just clearly cared so much that my event went well. I was so grateful we had him to look after us. You meet him and you instantly want to be friends with him.
The people here are great and that's what makes the place great. Such a cohesive, caring, wonderful bunch. They are like one big family who wants everyone who walks through the door to enjoy themselves.
Thank you so much to them all. They helped make an incredibly special meaningful night for me even more special than I could have asked for xxxxx it'd be tough to find another venue that gave me so much genoristy and care. Cannot wait to host another event here again.
Oh also handfuls of ppl at my event kept commenting on how delicious the canapes were. Everyone loved the food!! Raved about it, which was so so...

Kia Ora!
The ambience is pretty decent. The staff / bartender customer care service is superb.
I do have an issue and concern to raise though, hopefully the security team will look into this issue with importance.
Yesterday 27 September 2025 roughly around 10pm, went into your establishment by myself to unwind and chill from work and university studies.
I paid $10.00 for a door / entrance fee. I had 3 shots of tequila and 3 margaritas. Prior to that I had a full meal at Le Vietnamese Kitchen.
I normally have 10 shots of tequila or more and still be walking home sane with normal wits but this time I ended up in a getting picked up by two police officers and assisted me home safely ( Thank you kindly and truly to the Auckland CBD Police). I was not able to walk at all and my head / vision was spinning.
I'm a nurse by profession, so I know something is not going right. While writing this review, I'm experiencing really dry mouth and no appetite for food or drink. My drink was SPIKED at your establishment.
I do hope your Security Team will look into this closely and properly. Raising this issue because THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL! Just imagine your own kids, sister, family or cousins, who just wants to have a great time to unwind, drink and dance and could end up worst case situations.
This similar situation also happened 10 years ago at your establishment, me and my sister ended up in Waitakere hospital while celebrating her send off party.

Review: Mocha from Longshot was absolutely divine. Smooth, rich, sweet, lacking astringency, bold coffee and the perfect size.
First up, pork belly. Moist, tender, meat, ultra crisp crackling, glaze full of umami sticky sweetness, gorgeous pork belly.
Poutine was kiwi standard, i.e. lacking in cheese curds but made up for with stringy gooey salty cheese. Gravy was richful, plentiful, thick and full of depth. Chips were semi crisp, could've used a higher temperature for frying, but overall they were delicious.
Salt and pepper squid, had a few chewy pieces, but not overly so. Most were buttery, coating was light and crisp, the aioli was pretty run of the mill.
Seasonal vegetables were great and a balance to the overall meal, cooked to al dente, nicely seasoned however perhaps more garlic is needed if you're a garlic lover. ;)
Service was attentive, friendly, personable, welcoming and kind.
Atmosphere is a cosy reprieve from the hectic street of Ponsonby. If seated indoors, the seclusion is likely to insulate you from the road entirely, however outdoors is light, fresh, calm and warm. Sitting by the fireplace is a nice treat.
Would definitely come again.
Edit: Went again, got the fried chicken and the beef burger and the hawker roll. All 10/10, and tbh, get the blue cheese and Frank's hot sauce, god...
