Honest Chocolat — Local services in Waitematā

Order placed on a Friday morning. The package was collected from Honest Chocolate by NZ Couriers on Monday afternoon. Item signed for by courier himself/herself and left on the door step in 27° heat on Tuesday.

It took four days to have something delivered to me - whilst driving myself would have taken no more than 5-10 minutes.

After wondering why my item wasn't dispatched Friday or Saturday, I checked the fine print and discovered items are only dispatched between Monday - Thursday. The easy solution here would be to use a courier company that operates friday and Saturdays (after all you're open then anyway). Most courier companies operate Fridays and Saturdays so quite shocked - it is what it is and accepted it. It was my mistake I didn't check this before ordering, nevertheless it's quite dissapointing. The other solution would be to use a courier company that doesn't sign for parcels themselves, then proceeds to leave chocolate in 27° outside in direct heat and daylight - which by the way the box says "do not leave in sunlight". It also says "overnight" on the box, well clearly this was four days and not overnight. It was a joke that everything written on the box, the opposite was done.

$50 worth of chocolate gone to complete waste as it was a melted, sloppy mess. One of the chocolates leaked all over the others so refrigerating wasn't possible to save them. Poor packaging and checking the chocolates before hand would have prevented that.
