I stayed in Apartment 9C, on a business trip. This is a single bedroom wheelchair accessible room, overlooking the corner of Queen Street and Shortland street. This is my second stay in this Quest. The first time was about two years ago, and I'm glad to say I had a better experience this time. I book serviced apartments so I can prepare my own meals, and judge them on the basis as a business traveller, rather than leisure, so: apartment is compact, no wasted space. There is a balcony that is big enough to eat on. Walk in shower, typical for a wheelchair accessible room. OK pressure. Kitchen: acceptable base minimum. C+ food preparation utensils. Bed large, but sunken on one side. Street noise could bother some, but ear plugs provided. Supermarket across the road. Convenience store about a block away. Iron had burn stains. Cleaning/servicing B+. Maintenance OK. Sliding door between living area and bedroom lacks any kind of handle (??). Cozy. Easy check in/out. Lots of nearby eating options if desired, and good access to travel.

Quite close to the Britomart Station, ideal to the local shops after 5mins walk. Had to put it as 3 stars because it's just the little bits like the AC was making noise every few often after I had it turn up, the teaspoon I picked up was sticky, the painting on the wall was crooked and the last part was the worse one. I almost hurt my foot walking until I looked closer near the table, I found... A piece of wire cable wedged into the carpet.. Took it out but I forgot to tell the receptionist about it (left on the kitchen bench). Service is great! Was really supportive of me and helping to get round after hours to 9th Floor.

I live here, but Quest is in a very nice location in the CBD of Auckland. It has three supermarkets in close proximity, the viaduct and many bars are very close too. The city bus stop is right outside the hotel and britomart train station and bus stops are just on the other side of the block. Everything is basically on your doorstep! The rooms themselves are nice and the staff who work there are super friendly. The lift can sometimes take quite a while, there is only one in the building, and it can be very noisy at night - but other than that it has great views from the rooms of the city.

If I could give it a zero I would. I’ll start with the minor issues and end up with the grand finale. ||||Upon check in we discovered there was no bed for my son. We booked through a third party website where we put our child’s age into the search function. We were advised despite mentioning our son was 8 years old we were expected to share a queen bed with him. The rollaways were already booked so reception gave us some bedding and he curled up on the couch for three days. The rollaway information was on their website apparently so I take some blame for that however it would have been handy in the pre arrival email (which was informative and good) as who reads a website especially when booking through Expedia etc. ||||Nightclub noise is next level. I know they can’t help that but you can hear voices singing to the music as if they are in the same room as you. With the location some noise is to be expected but this was super bad. ||||The final straw that broke the camels back was the fighting from an apartment in the complex. I have a suspicion that some apartments are privately owned and therefore rented out privately but I can’t be sure. There was swearing, slamming of doors, yelling. I searched for an after hours number which is not anywhere in the room or on our checkin sheet. When I called reception it went to a private mobile number voicemail. The on-site manager never picked up. Probably had ear plugs in due to the night club noise lol. Eventually the fighting got so bad a person was pushed through a window taking out the whole sliding door and frame. We called 111 as no one from the hotel was picking up the phone. We were told the next morning the manager was fielding calls which I find bizzare as it was my husband who called 111 and then my husband was called back and asked to go down and let the police in. Also no one at reception the next morning had any idea what had gone on. At 8am the next morning there was blood still in the elevator. This was not a minor incident and took 6 police officers to sort out. As a paying guest we should not have had to deal with this. Our son was terrified. After complaining the next morning the hotel gave us 1 night out of the 3 free which we had to call Expedia to get.||||Nobody could pay me to stay there ever again. We felt unsafe and although it’s a great location it’s just...

Won’t be booking with Quest again. The gym was not available to customers during our stay (getting fixed apparently) which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. No compensation offered for the inconvenience despite having to pay for a separate gym pass. The can opener in our room was broken and when I went to reception to ask for one it was still closed - 12 minutes after their supposed opening time. Then when I went to ask the 2nd time I said I would collect it on my way back up to the room as my partner did not wish to be disturbed. When I came back they had done exactly what I asked them not to & had knocked on the door of the unit while my partner was sleeping. Now we have 2 can openers 🤣 The hot water doesn’t even work properly. Can’t be in the shower for longer than 5 minutes without it running warm. The internet is not even usable it’s that slow. Nothing works with the room wifi. No streaming. No casting from device to television. The service on the rooms is too late in the day, they were still making up our bed when we returned in the late afternoon. Today nobody has come at all so maybe it’s only every second day for the cleaning service? No sound proofing so the street noise is pretty loud. To top it all off someone backed into our rental car in their designated parking & they didn’t even offer an apology. “Not our problem, email Wilson’s”. Bed was comfy. Room was good value. However would rather pay more to have basic...

We had a series of unfortunate events during our two night stay.||||On the first night the lift stopped working for hours, luckily we were able to carry our baby and pram up to our floor. Things happen so although annoying it wasn’t an issue.||||The last evening, the neighbours next to us were yelling about how they had just beaten someone up downstairs, swearing, throwing/kicking things around their room. People coming and going slamming the door highly intoxicated and aggressive.||||We looked through the information sheet, emails, website - no number to call after hours.||||We nearly called the police it was getting so bad.||||I sent an air bnb message to the host who responded after over an hour saying they would phone the neighbours. The noise and yelling continued till 3am.||||No update from the host as to what was happening or to check the floor we were on.||||Check out we were told that we should have “just pressed number 0 on the telephone in our room”. This information was not told to us until check out.|| ||The place itself is loud with club noise, and very tired. Everything needs a good refresh and updating. House keeping staff were lovely.||||We were barely given an apology as we left, the whole incident was just swept under the rug. Some acknowledgement would have been appreciated.||||Really disappointed with how this...
