A delicious option if you're in the mood for pasta! We stopped by on a Sunday night and had spaghetti with lamb ragu and spaghetti with creamy mushroom sauce. Both were delicious with obviously freshly-made pasta and rich sauces. We got added parmesan & mozzarella on both, which was a bit much especially with the mushrooms - we probably wouldn't do that next time. Overall we paid NZ$45 for two big pasta dishes here which is a bit pricey for pasta but in line with the area.
Food: 5/5 - as written above both dishes were fantastic and we ate every bit. Would definitely go back again.
Service: 4/5 - it's a counter-serve takeout place so the service is pretty much non-existent. Nothing wrong here at all but I didn't like ordering from a kiosk. Maybe it's old-fashioned but I prefer ordering from a person :)
Atmosphere: 4/5 - it's in a food court. A nice, upscale food court, but still a food court, so loud and...
Read moreI was absolutely starving before eating here, and they did not disappoint! Polite and friendly service. Pasta is made to order, but still made very quickly! Prices are also very cheap for the amount of pasta you get. I ordered a regular bolognese with macaroni and there was so much pasta for one person- at least one and half servings. I was left stuffed I have had a lot of pasta in my life, but I must say that their bolognese is the most delicious pasta I’ve ever had. The meat sauce is just perfectly tangy with the beef mince, and sticks nicely to every piece of macaroni. I absolutely love the macaroni shape they serve. Although initially I thought there was a lot of cheese, it was the perfect amount. Overall, each bite of pasta was perfect. Totally worth it! I must come again and try their garlic brioche! Hope they open a franchise in Smales Farm sometime- I will...
Read moreTheir prices are deceitful. The ones written up on the black board, mention fresh made pasta and free parmesan. Then they charge you extra $2 for spaghetti. So by default, their prices include only elbow macaroni… where on earth have you received bolognese or any other type of PASTA with elbow macaroni??… except mac and cheese?!… unless you look down carefully, you won’t know spaghetti cost extra $2. Nowhere mentioned on the menu from blackboard-where you obviously look to chose the meal. It is such a pitiful way of ripping extra $ from clients and make them buy an apparently affordable meal comparing to the others from the court food. I was very enthusiastic to try their food, and the bolognese (with spaghetti, as it should be and always have been) was ok and plenty. However, I won’t go back for their lame way of conducting...
