I have to share my complaint here as an objective comment - I booked a table to spend my bday there with my friends as I tried cocktails and food here before and I loved them. But part of the customer services were really disappointing and even scary: Disappointing part was - the mullet hairstyle islander looking security guy who normally wears a grey suit at front entry after 10pm, accused my friend “under dressed” and had a very rude attitude towards my friend who dressed up really nice and came to join my bday; I asked him to explain to me what did he mean by “ the bar policy” but he just ignored it and kept accusing and discriminating my friend that my friend had to leave my bday at the end; but to be fair, there were so many people could be judged “under dressed” if according to this security’s principle- so I would like to say ladies and gentlemen, when you come to this bar next time, be careful with his judgemental attitude, he could really ruin your night by his weird service attitude - ruin the bars vibe, and I would like to keep aware of him if he keeps working for Reign&Pour. scary part - there were a group of creepy guys in the bar and kept hitting on different girls who looked more drunk than others that night, and they found my personal info and social medias to send me weird harassment messages after that night - which makes me wonder if Reign&Pour has any staffs shared customers personal information to random people - cuz those creepy guys they shouldn’t have any way to know my name, my phone number or my social medias (as my social media names are not even my real name and as I didnt tell them my name and number, and I wonder if some bar staffs actually secretly sharing our customers privacy to those creepy guys (who been allowed by that security to get into the bar, they may have already known each other, and they planned those harassment actions and things together /or every other nights just on spying girls or rich customers in bars) Which would be totally illegal if I want to hand a report.
As I cannot find a complaint system on Reign&Pour’s website (which I would suggest your respectful restaurant to update your system asap)- and for now, I would love to leave this review here to warn all future customers- if you or your friends whoever will want to enjoy a dinner night or a nice cocktail or attend their Dj events at this bar, please be careful next time. We hope that in the future, this restaurant will no longer have the phenomenon of rejecting normal customers with improper reasons, and will no longer allow so-called “well-dressed” guests and staff who steal personal privacy to appear at this place, take care everyone ; If you need more advice and info, please feel free...
Read moreSo I went here with 2 of my friends for a birthday dinner. We’re all 22 years old and Māori. We were all very sober. The whole restaurant/bar was filled with old white people, white family’s and white people. Most of the workers were brown though. (just for a bit of context) So as soon as we walked in, there was a karen asking us questions about how sober we were and when we replied that only 1 of us had drank 1 drink beforehand, she then went on to say that she would have to keep an eye on us and limit our alcohol intake. Straight away we were feeling uneasy about the place after basically being racially profiled, so we ended up agreeing that we were just gonna eat and leave, no drinks. As soon as we were seated I heard the karen tell our waiter behind my back to ask for our ID’s, and when our waiter came to our table he asked for our drink order and we said “no thank you, we’ll stick with the water”, but of course he still asked for our ID’s anyway, which was fine because it is a restaurant/bar, but then a (white) couple, that looked around our age, comes and sits at the table next to us but the same waiter doesn’t ask for their ID’s at all. The whole 1 hour we were there we would have at least 4 employees constantly looking at us, our waiter constantly asking us if we wanted drinks when we told him every single time that we were just sticking with water, and the karen pointing to us and talking about us to our waiter. Overall the service was appauling, we were definitely being racially profiled the whole time by the employees, and when we were asked for our drink order multiple times after saying no, it felt like they were trying to give themselves a reason to kick us out. Terrible service and the food honestly wasn’t that...
Read moreDecided to take our kids to Commercial Bay and let them loose on the food court whilst we enjoyed a quiet lunch was a great idea and because Reign and Pour has been on my radar for a while and because my wife spotted them in our soon-to-expire Entertainment Card, we decided to give it a go. I am so glad we did. The food is fantastic! We had the Chicken Wings, which were boneless and served with a slightly spiced Mayo. The were fantastically tender inside, and crunchy on the outside. The Pork belly bites were also excellent on a lovely mopping sauce that complemented them. You wanna get stuck into them fairly quickly as when they are hot they are more tender and moist! My wife had the Lamb Rack. Very nicely cooked medium, tender and the crust nicely complimented the flavour. It had that nice caramelized flavour that cooking over high heat with exposed bones gives you. I had the skin on snapper with caponata. The caponata was very well executed and the fish cooked almost to perfection. Really delicious combination I am going to have a crack at myself next time we order fish for home. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We got a table outside under an umbrella with the sun shining down. I recommend this place! I couldn't deduct only half a point, due to the disabled bathroom lock not working properly (entered by accident) and the other toilet I used not having a toilet roll holder, broken door stop and just generally, the area could use a bit of love and attention (not dirty at all). The rest of the restaurant looks very nice and seating was comfortable and...
