An authentic South American covered market, with all the positives (great variety of products, especially food, but also house items, at very honest prices) and cons (crowded, loud, hectic and in some places with a strong smell) of South American traditional covered markets. Read moreCentral market has everything and anything you could want from paper bags to plastic cups unfortenatly they also sell alot of of poor little animals that come from bad breaders i wish someone would do sometgoing as you know if there is a market they will bye. But its really terrible how theses animals are kept if you buy from repected pet stores the animals are kept well fed well treated in central lima they sell you any animal you want even exotic without even having a license or real shop they keep them in .... please dont buy animals here donf give in to demand .... i could only hope someday it is stopped . Read moreCrazy, noisy , chaotic and overcrowded market. As a tourist I felt really awkward going in there, because no one really speaks English. The produce there is incredible and as you walk in, you can smell the herbs and the produce. There is a meat and fish section that I really dreaded as a Vegan . walking through that section was horrible because there was blood on the floor.. they sell dried goods, dried fruits, and other things like groceries and things for birthday parties. It is definitely something to experience a highly recommend any tourist to come here to...
