Butot Balat Restaurant (Festive Walk Mall Branch) — Restaurant in Iloilo City

We came across this resto as we were roaming Megaworld Mall to look for a place for dinner. So we decided to try their cuisine. There was a bit of a wait since we went there since it was dinner time already. It was just ok since we were treated well by the staff and we were guided to our table. We ordered for something that's lutong Pinoy. The Chicken Tinola was a hit. So tasteful. We loved it. It was placed inside a palayok and lined with wilted banana leaves. The soup was so delicious. Another hit was the Binagoongang Manok. Our rice was not enough for this dish. My dinner with them was superb. I'll definitely get back to them when I'll visit...

We were very excited to try this classic restaurant I grew up going to. My son has never been. We were already given a menu to look at and we already decided on what to order. Not a lot of people. They were not busy at all. We waited for at least 20 minutes and nobody came to take our order, etc. They were just staring at us. Finally a couple came in and sat down across our table. Shortly after they sat, one of the wait staff that has been staring at us took their order. We instantly got out. If I could give a 0 star...

Wanted to dine here, but staff was less than welcoming. The waiter just quickly slid our menus onto the table, and quickly left without a word before we had a chance to order drinks. Then, we waited more than 10 minutes for the waiter to return to take our order. We tried grabbing the waiter’s attention, but he simply gave us a blank stare. We left after trying to get their attention a few times, and we won’t be returning. It’s unfortunate because we were looking forward to trying...
