My experience is based on visiting the restaurant on eid 3rd day. My point of view can be different on regular days, needs a second visit for sure as it was jam-packed. (we were 25+ pax, so we thought reserving and confirming will be a good idea but) Let us start with negative points first, as this may be because of Eid days.
First of all, even after reservation and confirming the table/place we wanted to sit, the restaurant and staff failed to provide the same spot even after giving them 30 to 45 minutes of time to arrange. Secondly, poor customer service. Lack of communication between tables booked and tables available. Why overbook when you cannot handle? Thirdly, staff gives false excuses upon not having a table. Fourth, the glasses were dirty and stinking - not cleaned properly at all. Tables were also in somewhat unhygenic situation. Fifth, slow service - extremely slow service. Asked for soft drinks, took them 15 minutes to bring and by that time, I was done with the main course. Sixth, the food, specially the soups and the pulao they had for eid was cold and kept open.
Now, lets talk about the positive points.
First, valet service is a blessing honestly as I have visited the venue/the hotel quite alot of times and finding parking can be an issue. Kudos to that! Second, great welcome by the staff, asked if reservation upon door. Third, beautiful, just amazing ambience - beautiful decor - loved it! Fourth, eating area is huge and so is seating arrangement. Fifth, plenty, I MEAN PLENTY OF FOOD OPTIONS! Food for everyone! Sixth, mutton kebabs, chicken kebabs, seafood were the show-stopper for me. Seventh, they even had white sauce pasta, fries and nuggets - I was so happy to see that since, I have kids and this was heaven for them. Eighth, great variety of desserts from gulab jamun, jalebi, gajar halwa, fresh fruits to ice cream. Ninth, Green tea was available as well. Finally, overall - a great experience and should be tried again for a...
Read moreBBQ tonight is one of the best new buffet style restaurants in Qatar. Their food is absolutely delicious and is constantly being made fresh. They have one of the biggest varieties of Indian/Pakistani dishes, along some several items of Turkish/Arab cuisine too, on their buffet menu. Their kababs are extremely soft and juicy. They serve pretty much every common and famous dishes from this cuisine. I would recommend getting little bit of everything, including all their sauces, chutneys and dips. They also have the softest and the fluffiest breads too. They also have soups and salads too, but don’t fill yourself up too early with those so you can leave extra space for all their super delicious kebabs and meat items. They also have a good variety of desserts for you to enjoy at the end of your meal. Out of all their desserts, my absolute favorite was their Shahi Tukrah. It was very soft, milky and delicious. This place is a little expensive so going there regularly may not be possible, but this is the perfect place to go with your families on special occasions. Lastly, I love the vibe of the restaurant. It’s very natural. Also, they got valet parking on the outside. BBQ tonight is...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed with BBQ Tonight’s Suhoor Experience
I recently visited BBQ Tonight for Suhoor during Ramadan, expecting a fresh and fulfilling meal. However, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. • The food did not seem freshly made—it looked like leftovers from Iftar. • Quantities were insufficient, and they were not refilling the dishes. • The rice was dry, and most of the barbecue items were nearly finished. • It felt like the restaurant was just pushing out the remaining food from Iftar under the name of Suhoor, with only a 10 riyal discount to cover it up.
For a place that brands itself as a quality barbecue restaurant, this was an unacceptable experience. Suhoor should be about fresh, well-prepared food, not stale leftovers from earlier in the night.
If you’re planning to go here for Suhoor, think twice! This visit was a waste of money and a letdown. The restaurant needs to seriously improve its Suhoor service, or they will continue to lose loyal customers.
