Liaised with Yolanda for a Virtual Terrarium Workshop. Wanted to have the terrarium kits delivered to our staff early, slightly more than one week before the event, but Yolanda discouraged early delivery. She mentioned that according to operations team, the kits should only be delivered 5 days before the event and that the company will not be liable if the plants die due to early delivery. Took her advice and scheduled for delivery 5 days before the event.
Slightly more than one week before the event (the date where I originally wanted to schedule the delivery), some of the kits were already delivered to our staff. I questioned Yolanda on this and she ignored my query. Prompted her again for a response on this delivery error and again she ignored my email. Had to resort to calling the company just to find out what is happening as at that time the event was only a few days away and I did want my staff to open the kits and see dead plants cos they were delivered too early. Talked to Joe over the phone, and requested for fresh plants to be delivered to those affected staff which he agreed. After the call, he emailed me saying that according to operations team, the plants can survive in the kit for 30 days. This is a huge contradiction to the information which Yolanda told me earlier. I responded in the email with both Joe and Yolanda inside saying I received conflicting information on the plants, and got ignored again.
The delivery was also very poorly done. Yolanda cautioned us to handle the kits with care and to not open the kits until the workshop, but the delivery was the exact opposite. Our staff contact numbers were all included in the delivery details, but the delivery was done without contacting any of our staff at all. They were just left by doors or hung on the door handles, and there was no indication on the package that it was Party Mojo, so our staff had to open up the kit just to see the contents and make the connection.
For the workshop which was hosted by Jingyi, the session ended very abruptly. We thought there would be some sort of Q&A session at the end but after we were done making our terrarium, Jingyi immediately said that this is the end of the session and said bye to everyone. She did not even ask if we had any questions whatsoever.
The only positive for the event was the virtual games session held by Alicia. She was very engaging and knew how to work around any silences to prevent awkwardness. She also got the staff children involved in the games, which our staff...
Read moreThe National University of Singapore's (NUS) Biomedical Engineering (BME) Student Club had a very delightful event (19th Feb 2021) and received generally positive feedback from our staff and students with regard to the quality of the carnival food provided by PartyMojo. Thus far, the majority of our event's feedback respondents have rated the food at least a solid 4/5. The vendors were also very well trained and could efficiently manage the food preparation and distribution, whilst being mindful of minimising direct contact with our event's participants to reduce the risk of coronavirus contagion. All of the food were cleared by 4:30 PM. Moreover, despite not being refrigerated, the texture of the potong ice cream was kept in good condition (even up till the end of the event), which suggests that the dry ice provided was more than sufficient in preventing the ice cream from melting for at least 4.5hrs. The candy floss and popcorn live stations were particularly very well managed too, with no long snaking queues or large clusters of groups forming near the stations because of how efficiently the food were served. On a more administrative note, Kit (Admin Staff from PartyMojo) was also very helpful, accommodating and diligent in responding to our requests promptly. Hence, on overall, PartyMojo has done a brilliant and fantastic job at our event, and we are very impressed with their service! Thank you very much for contributing to the success of our event!
