i was there having a dinner with my husband and sister in law. when we at the main door,he was approached by a manager with no smile or greetings. as he show us our seats by just putting the menu on the tabe he just walked off. then i decided to change table,i mean i know in this line when customers asked for changing of seats its not really ideal to service staff cause im in fnb line too. i asked due to not fully crowded by customers. while we want to change seat the manager didnt assist us,so i ignore and took the menu to the table. while we looking through the menu, non of the staff explain to us about their set meal menu so we decided to order ala carte instead. one of thai staff(woman) greet us so nice and politely. while waiting for the food i realised the manager not once smile to anh of the customers there. still i ignore and enjoy the food.. the food was nice except the ayam panggang bali its super dry and sweet. after we had our meal non of the staff or manager asked how our meal was. while i about to pay at the cashier,i was served by the same manager with no smile, again theres no smile from him at all. i mean its not like we went there and didnt send our money there. we did send almost $100 there yet the manager showing us his act stern face with no smile. i was so dissapointed,im in management level in fnb line. with his attitude,he showing to his staff not a good example. its not my first time to dine at bali thai, but at imm outlet im really dissapointed. as me and my husband love the food and service especially at causeway point outlet. i really hope you guys able to work this out to make the customers feel more welcoming...
Read moreWent there recently on a weekday while it wasn’t so crowded before we went for a movie. Movie was around 8.10, we came around 6.55. It only became crowded long after we sat and ordered.
Once we order, food took very long to come. It came one by one after 10 minutes each. The first food came around 15~ minutes after ordering (ordered around 7.06), it was the satay and it wasn’t even hot, sauce was almost cold. It didn’t make sense at all since it took so long. Then after 10 minutes came the white rice, then afterwards the green curry which tasted good and warm at least. Finally the fried cashew chicken came at 7.45. We had to rush and eat which made us feel sicky, couldn’t finish the chicken, and we left around 8 since we had to walk over.
They didn’t say anything about long waiting times when we were seated either. Overall for the price, the service, waiting time, and food quality leave a lot to be desired. Highly prefer Soi Thai more. The waitress was apologetic and friendly, tried her best to answer. No complaints about that, I would give her 5/5 but considering the time we took to be seated when there were empty tables and no one else in the queue, and the food arrival time 2 stars. I never liked coming here but it had been decent the past two times my family came last year so I agreed to. The last I had Bali Thai before that was 2017/18 and wasn’t so impressed with the food back then either. With the rising cost of living, it’s too expensive to spend so much and sad service...
Read moreWith the whole intent of shopping we reached IMM Mall just before lunch, so after browsing through we picked Bali Thai as our lunch spot, especially since I am someone who is extremely fond of and passionate about Thai Food. After ordering a couple of drinks, we settled down with a vegetable tempura, some spring rolls to start the meal, while browsing through the extensive menu and fishing for Thai dishes. The tempura was super crispy, with the mild cooking on the vegetables retaining the true essence and flavour of the vegetable without overpowering or overcooking its natural juices. I particularly loved the eggplant in the tempura. The spring roll too was an excellent version, crispy with a wonderful vegetable filling. We were a large bunch as my cousin and his friends decided to join us as well for lunch.
All of us were vegetarians that day, so I picked up a Thai Green Curry, Fried rice, with tofu and a stewed rice, all tofu as well as enoki mushrooms. The green curry was spicy, wonderfully made with a perfect bowl of jasmine rice. Again, I loved how the vegetables were cooked in the curry, retaining their crunch and their true essence. My daughter loved the fried rice too, and we made a promise to visit their outlets spread across Singapore, on a non-vegetarian day, but we could not make it on this trip, unfortunately.
But nevertheless it was a fantastic meal with strong Asian, especially Thai flavours and executed it to perfection...
