Be warned of misleading promotion & false information.
Visited this eatery for dinner, confirmed with the young lady staff at the door that the $9.90++ set promotion was available. We still asked her twice to double confirm.
After being seated and while doing online ordering, we were asking the same young lady staff about flavors selection when an older lady staff with short hair (auntie) overheard and mumbled something to the younger lady, who then turned to us and said she needed to go check with kitchen if the item was still available. Then both lady stuff walked to the kitchen and as it was a semi-open kitchen, we could see both ladies talking with the kitchen staff and all of them were looking at our table's direction.
After abt 5 mins of staring & talking, the younger lady walked over and told us the the promo set wasn't available. We were befuddled and told her we had double checked with her before entering. She then replied something like they only having or promoting whole fishes, and we would have to wait quite long if we wanna order the $9.90++ promo. It was a weekday evening and the restaurant wasn't even 1/3 full.
Ngl, we felt this was deliberate to discourage us from ordering the promo set, as it wasn't the first time we had experienced this. Prior to this visit, we had patronizing quite a number of times and the above exact scenario had happened before, at least 2 times. Coincidently whenever it happened, usually the older lady staff was around.
Subsequently throughout our meal, we could feel the older lady staff kept looking at us and giving off judging vibes which made us felt unwelcomed.
We had top-up additional $2 per pax for free flow drinks/rice/desserts/condiments, as the $9.90 promo no longer included those. At a point while we were taking fruits at the counter, we heard the older lady staff murmuring "take so many" but we just ignored.
We then walked to the payment counter which was just beside the entrance and the older lady staff was standing there. However she completely ignored us and the younger lady rushed over to settle the payment.
Thereafter, we got to learn that the older lady staff was apparently the boss' mother. What a joke, if the boss/management attitude was as such, this would reflect badly on the entire restaurant and the rest of the staff. If you don't want customers to order the $9.90++ promo set, then tell customers upfront that it's unavailable!
Tbh, there are plentiful of other eateries selling similar & better tasting dishes with MUCH BETTER service. Since the start we wouldn't have started patronizing if it's not for the $9.90++ promo set (initially the set had included the $2 free flow items as well, so that made it value for money).
After the experience in this visit, it was the final straw that made us determined NOT to visit again. We would also strongly discourage others to avoid experiencing similar...

Asking the store lady (wearing black tshirt) if i can get corriander, she seems annoyed and said “No” and walk away.
The fish that i ordered was peppercorn grilled fish, the soup came in super oily as if you are drinking oil instesd of soup (refer to the picture).
Dining in for about 15minutes, a table that was about to leave made a feedback regarding the fish is not nice etc but the lady diverted the conversation to another topic where another customer had same issue mentioned that its too oily but still manage to finished the fish. In my pov, the lady in black tshirt was trying to say if there was issue with fish why would they finish it.
In conclusion, never try this store as most of the review i believe can be false. Even a store in bugis that cost $9.9 grilled fish taste better than this....

Found strands of hair inside the self-service rice cooker pot. Informed the staff, but they simply brushed it off with a casual "Oh sorry" and took no further action. Despite clear contamination, the same rice was still being served to other customers. Absolutely unacceptable.
This was our second visit — and definitely our last. We ordered a different fish this time, but when it arrived, it was the exact same fish we were served previously. When we asked the branch manager, she couldn't even identify what fish it was. Instead of checking with the kitchen, she just looked at the receipt and insisted we were given the correct dish.
It’s hard to trust the accuracy of orders when the manager herself doesn’t know what’s being served. Her response? That the kitchen "never makes mistakes." Really?
Seems like they may be using the same cheaper fish across multiple dishes and pricing them differently to mislead...
