My husband and I just went to the WCafe at Cedar Square, to say we're disappointed is an understatement. Firstly, we got there and sat for a couple of minutes, we had to then call the waiter who was daydreaming to come get our drinks order, and mind you, there were only two other tables that had customers. And then we waited for a while for our food, when we asked why it took so long, he mentioned some excuse about their stock. When the food finally came, the rice of the butter chicken dish looked like it was scraped off the bottom of the pot and it was discoloured, the butter chicken itself looked like it had been sitting out for a while, my husband's chips were so oily... Everything looked terrible. Then we asked the waiter to just give us the bill for our coffees, we then had to wait for a while for someone to come void the food. Then this two man job (two people actually came to void the transaction) also took a while, when they came they didn't even bother asking what was wrong or if they could assist in any way, the guy didn't even greet! I am extremely disappointed at this Woolies Cafe, and this is not the first time I've experienced subpar food. Please get your act together before you go under, this was a total waste of someone's...
   Read morePlease Avoid this shop at all costs. The staff and management are unbearably arrogant, acting like theyâre doing you a favor just by letting you shop there. Their superiority complex makes the whole experience uncomfortable. If they overcharge you, donât expect an apologyâjust an argument where they insist youâre wrong before reluctantly giving a refund like itâs some kind of special privilege. Plenty of other places deserve your money more than this one. Charing R65 for a cheese puff of R5 and then saying oh sorry we will request a refund !!! Come on how many times does this happen and NO ONE knows . Daylight Robbery !!!!
Update 2 March I decide to go inshore and see if the staff can redeem themselves and I am now convinced that this is the worst store in SA . The management are nowhere to be found even my cashier says NO supervisor she canât find them 90% of the day and once again the arrogance and attitude is uncanny ! Iâm very sure we are NOT welcome at this store . Very bad for this brand and will be sharing this as far an d wide a I can SHOCKING SERVICE AS USUAL DO NOT...
   Read moreNot surprised by all the bad reviews. I shop at the Cedar branch religiously and Iâve had a lot of problems with their speedpoints which always âdeclineâ my card. The staff is always very quick to say that the money will be refunded. I had the same problem on Friday night for a small purchase I made. After being told that my card had been declined I used my credit card for the purchase. Shortly after I left the store I received a notification from the bank confirming that the card that had been âdeclinedâ had in fact been debited. Because I keep small amounts in my current account it was easy for me to trace the transaction. I went back on Sunday morning to advise the store manager that they had debited me twice and I was made to feel like I was the one who was trying to scam the store. To date, my money has not been returned nor has anyone ever called to advise me what the status of my matter is. The store manager came up with the most nonsensical requests I had ever heard, my bank was even blamed. Needless to say I will never shop...
