This is the beating heart of Cedar Square. Walking in feels like coming home or to a good friends house. The food is amazing with creative combinations, big portions and unbelievable flavor. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They have made all the cakes for my special occasions in the last 5 years and their range of skill is extraordinary. A floral carrot cake with a twist for a 60th birthday. A two tier Circus carasoul for my daughter’s Carnival party. My own three tier, copper, chocolate peanutbutter Nutella cake for my 30th and the list goes on - the baker and his team are magical in making ideas come to life. I often buy their frozen meals when I don’t have time to cook and I find the selection and quality better than some of the ready made meals in the stores. They have the cutest gifts and confections for any occasion and a great range of their own edible goods (the sweet potato crisps are an awesome addition to take with when you’re going to friends or as a snack when you’re having guests). I could rave about this...
Read moreThe quality of the food served was poor. It didn’t taste fresh, it was dry and it was bland. The food was not delicious (both plates seen on the picture). Plus their drink options were just too many and their knives were blunt.

The staff did try to make up for the disappointment by offering another meal but their meals just weren’t delicious and we were unwilling to risk it again and paid for the service regardless. So they offered cupcakes instead.
Overall, the experience wasn’t a great one and the food wasn’t worth the money paid. Not even a second plate would redeem those meals because it wasn’t just one plate that tasted horribly; both...
Read moreSeems like the owner deleted my previous post even that I was being nice after finding a hair in my food and paid for the food in full.
Well it doesn’t stop me from posting it again, if you are going to train your staff lying in the customer’s face, telling them it’s not a hair but “mushroom” then you better find a mushroom that looks like a human hair.
If you find what looks like 6 cm long black hair in a cooked mushroom dish, it's unlikely that it is mycelium. Mycelium doesn't typically survive the cooking process in a form that would resemble long black hairs. Cooked mycelium would generally break down and not be noticeable. While uncommon, certain fungi produce dark pigmented structures that might survive cooking and could be mistaken for hair-like strands. However, this is less likely, especially to the extent of 6...
