Went there yesterday, 3 May 2025 on the spur of the moment. Last time we visited was about 20 years ago. Had heard so many negative stories, but read last week about the new owners making big changes. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. The updated ceilings and lighting gives a whole new warm feeling. Excellent shops, good prices, wide ranges of clothing and goods. Just 2 comments for the owners that need some serious attention; The mall desperately needs an info counter, more specifically also an info board showing where you are, and a search function for all the available shops. We were looking for two common clothing shops, and the only way we could find one was using Google maps which is really stupid in a mall. The other shop is still eluding us. This situation is very frustrating. Menlyn and Eastgate malls are an example of user-friendliness. There are many many exits from the parking to the mall on several different floors. But after walking for 3 hours amongst the shops and many floors, we were hopelessly lost. We found a helpful security guard that went to the parking ticket office to try and find our parking from the code on the parking ticket. We only found our car after half an hour of searching. Our mistake was not to take a photo of our parking area which would have assisted security. There is not a single info board in the mall that shows the exit to any parking area. The parking area is colour coded, but that is not carried through to a complete lack of signs inside the mall. So, still room for a lot of improvements, but it looks like most concerns are...
Read moreFourways Mall used to be one of my favourite places to shop, it had a nice flow, easy parking, and a good mix of stores. Lately, though, it feels like it’s gotten a bit too big for its boots, and the changes haven’t been great.
Parking has become a real headache. There’s almost no flow, and the exit signs are confusing, which often leaves you driving around in circles just trying to find your way out. Honestly, it can be stressful before you’ve even set foot inside the mall.
Once you’re inside, things don’t get much better. The layout of the stores feels random, so it’s easy to get turned around or lost. It’s a bit of a shame because the mall used to flow naturally, and now you can’t always find what you’re looking for without a lot of wandering. On top of that, a lot of long-time favourite shops have moved out, which is disappointing if you’ve been coming here for years.
Weekends are understandably busy, but weekdays are very quiet which is nice if you want to avoid crowds, but it also highlights how sprawling and overwhelming the mall can feel.
That said, Fourways Mall still has a lot to offer. There’s a huge variety of stores, and if you can figure out where everything is, there’s plenty to see and buy. It’s just a bit more challenging than it used to be, and you have to be prepared for some confusion along the way.
All in all, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The mall has potential and still has a lot going for it, but the confusing layout, tricky parking, and loss of some favourite stores take away from what used to be a much smoother, more enjoyable...
Read moreFourways, Mall provides leisurely shopping in a relaxed, spacious atmosphere. Finding parking spaces is a breeze, with good-sized parking bays, especially for SUVs and bakkies. The vehicle exit pointa could be better indicated. Easy access to the various floors via several escalators and lifts, and everything worked. Very good signage posted in strategic positions to help one navigate confidently around the mall. Polite security personnel at hand to assist and provide further directions as may be required. The several extra wide passages provide comfortable walkways around the mall. Almost all major retailers are represented, and a few lesser known ones are thrown into the mix. The same goes for the eateries, with a surprising little Indian restaurant and take-away, a hidden gem tucked away into a quiet corner of the food court. Enjoyed the tasty butter chicken, served with basmati rice there, while other customers swore by samosas, apparently returning within a few minutes for more. Pity about the several seemingly empty or boarded up store spaces. Otherwise, beautiful decor makes one feel as if one is at an international airport. All in all, a shopper's paradise, within a well-maintained and delightful...
