The Original Old Fashioned - Cocktail House — Restaurant in Barcelona

I’ve been coming here for years, and it remains one of my favourite cocktail bars in Barcelona. The cocktails are excellent, with a wide and creative selection, all served with real professionalism.

The setting is small and intimate, with leather seats and a lovely bar area (8 seats) that’s perfect for drinks with friends, there are a few candlelit tables that also make it an ideal spot for couples.

What I appreciate most, though, is the wonderful service. Every visit, the team has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They give thoughtful recommendations and clearly enjoy sharing their knowledge (thanks Matthias!)

The drinks menu is impressively global. For example gins - I’ve tried Irish, Black Forest, and Finnish options, and enjoyed a great non-alcoholic cocktail!

How to summarize my feelings about Old Fashioned? Bruno and his crew know how to deliver a truly top-notch experience. No tricks, no gimmicks, just outstanding cocktails, classic, stylish decor, and friendly, attentive service in several languages.

This has been a favorite spot of mine and many of my friends for at least three years now. I have been privileged to be served by stellar cocktail craftsmen and women in many countries, including many bars on the "Top 50" list. Old Fashioned can stand with the best of them.

I bring every single out-of-town visitor who turns up on my doorstep to Old Fashioned and they leave with their socks knocked off. You will do yourself a great disservice if you skip the Old Fashioned experience. Any serious fan of creative craft cocktails must make...

"Small and cozy" would be better stated as "tiny and cramped", because that's what this place is. The seating was poorly thought-out; half of the seats are Ottomans-- which the bartenders are very sensitive about. One of the tables is set directly in front of the bathroom entrance, making bathroom access very difficult (in an establishment that sells alcohol exclusively, this is very poor planning). If you move one of the Ottoman-seats to gain access to the bathroom, the bartenders yell at you. I would not recommend this place to friends OR enemies.
