Taller de Tapas — Restaurant in Barcelona

Absolute joke!... We get there and get thrown into our seats.. We almost had to duck as our menus came flying towards us. Once we ordered our starters and mains, which were mussels and steaks, we did not receive anything for half an hour. I quizzed the waiter who told me they had no mussels but they did when I ordered them 20mins ago. They must of ran away. I order chicken wings instead. They were the highlight of the night I suppose. We then get burgers delivered three times when we ordered steak. Frustrated, I tell the waiter this is wrong so I reiterated that the steaks that were to come eventually needed to be rare and one well done. Safe to say the bad run of form continued as the supposed well done steak came out still making a moo sound, nowhere near what I ordered.. Not a satisfying meal at all. And to top it off the waiter asked us if we wanted desert menus and we accepted for our sins. Only for him to not return as he must of got amnesia or forgotten about us.. Who knows.... We won't...

Place was empty when we arrived thought it was closed service was friendly and excellent. The food was not great at all especially with access to Barcelona's excellent seafood market the shrimp were a big disappointment. The calamari like I said considering the proximity to fresh seafood was garbage. I have had better calamari in Canada. The mussels I didn't even eat they took off the bill they came to the table not even cleaned never have I eaten in a restaurant were they send uncleaned mussels. The margarita pizza was served with dried basil flakes not even fresh basil. I can understand why it was empty I was really surprised our concierge even recommend this place and I told them so after...

Was here initially for a drink whilst my partner and our son were at the match at Barcelona Stadium. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Ended up having some tapas after the game and more drinks. The restaurant was full too after the game, queuing outside the door in fact. The meals were very tasty... I would return to this restaurant again.
