Today on the way to university, I passed by Lidl to buy apples. It was my first time in this shop so I went through aisles to locate where is what. As in half an hour I was having examen, decided to buy also chocolate. Got my apples, got my chocolate, paid at cash register and I was about to leave the shop when security guy was coming towards me screaming. As Spanish isn't my first language (and, hey, I'm having that examen in 30 min, so I was totally thinking about different things), at the start I didn't even understood what the fuss was about. He was screaming at me: ''Have you bought anything? Have you bought anything?" In short, he was accusing me of stealing. When I finally get what was goin on, and started to protest, that you can't treat costumers (or any person) like that, he put on all his machist attitude - and replayed that he is doing his job (and feeling like God). Have never felt so...
Read moreNew: Editing my review since they have improved a lot! Security changed, the place has been upgraded, now cleaner and better organised.
Old: Shelves mostly empty, dirty and unorganised Lidl compared to all I have been in Spain or in the Netherlands.. Hate to go for groceries in that atmosphere, security stopping me to check my bag to make sure I’m not stealing, chasing eyes and in general not very welcoming ambient.
My first time there I was stopped to hear the security complains that I shouldn’t bring inside a small pack mushrooms from Mercadona (single item, had receipts and inside a mercadona bag). Security guy chased me because I decided to leave without buying anything (queue was too long!)

Read moreThey had exposed wires on floor's shop, right by the entrance. The wires were covered by a shopping basket, I'm guessing for "safety" of the customers. I took a picture of it and was immediately approached by a security guard. He told me I am not allowed to take pictures and called the manager. The manager explained that taking the picture is against the law. I told him that I wouldn't mind if he called the police because I believe they would agree with me. He let me go.
If they didn't come to argue I would send the photo to my friends, have a laugh and forget about it. Now I am uploading the photo along with this review and will also send it to Lidl customer service.
Apart for this one situation, it's a normal Lidl. Rather cheap compared to other supermarkets surrounding it. The lines are always long here so expect to wait...
