Bar Exposición — Restaurant in Barcelona

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing. The staff was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional from the moment we walked in. We were treated like an inconvenience rather than customers. Our server had an attitude the entire time, barely spoke to us, rolled their eyes when we asked questions about the menu, and made us feel completely unwelcome. But the worst part? They intentionally changed items in our order to more expensive ones without asking or informing us — clearly trying to increase the bill on purpose. That’s not just bad service, that’s dishonest and manipulative. Maybe if they weren’t so incredibly rude and unwelcoming, they wouldn’t feel the need to scam people just to make a profit.

I ordered a tinto de verano and a vegetable paella. The vegetables were flavourless and clearly tinned. There was also a tinned tomato sauce the like of which I haven’t tasted since I had spaghetti hoops as a kid. All in all just a very cheap, badly made meal.
