The service is really slow and frenetic. We waited outside for our table quite a while, told more than once our table was close to being ready, then we were eventually told we had to sit at a small, crowded area outside unless we wanted to wait a lot longer (the wait time magically jumped back to a ridiculous amount).Basically, the waiter was dishinest with us. We waited for our table for a long time based upon his representations to us, and he ended up being dishonest. The outside dining experience at this place is NOT enjoyable (if they tell you to eat outside or face a long wait, my advice is to run).
They make pizzas to go (carry away) and it overloads the oven, so you have to wait quite a long time for food, with nothing to do, because they apparently don't have capacity in the oven (or know how) to make several pizza orders at a time. Plenty of pizza places use stone ovens more effectively so as to not take so long to deliver the food. Perhaps it was because we were seated outside that our order had less importance in the oecking order.
When we finally got our order, the Pizzas were very soggy and limp. The problem is that the crust is super thin and they don't know how to cook it properly in the oven to give it enough strength in the crust to hold the sauce and other ingredients. So the whole pizza just falls apart into a messy, gooey slop. They gave us a complimentary white cheese pizza early on, either because it was a cancelled order or they knew of the unpleasant dining experience we were in store for in having to eat outside on the rickety table in the midst of a narrow, crowded sidewalk. This complimentary blanco pizza had gobs of melted cheese that just fell off the pie, no way to keep it on the pizza. We ended up picking gobs of cheese off the plate with our fingers to eat it; that should have been the early warning. It was not even lime eating a pizza.
Pies were served to us uncut, and they give you a "butter knife" (yes, really) to cut it! Ridiculous, so crazy trying to hack out a slice, the darn pizza was getting even more mangled by the second.
There's a wall of wood behind the oven making it look like it's a wood fired pizza, but they don't burn the wood or use it in the oven, so it's not a wood-fired pizza.
Don't get fooled by the sleek look of the place, overall the operation is a hot mess. Perhaps it was a bad crew on duty (both server and pizza cook)...there was only one waiter for the whole place, and he was in a frantic robot mode. Either a bad crew, or this place is just confusingly overrated.
Waiter was quite innattentive and no help, almost got contentious with us because we sent a pizza back. He couldn't understand or would not accept that it was just a B-A-D pizza, and then wanted to debate with us. Completely unprofessional.
I would avoid this place. There are too many other, much better options. If this restaurant survives long term, it would be a miracle. Note, I don't ever leave vindictive reviews. They are to recognize excellence or as a favor to warn people when things are bad. It's the latter case for this restaurant.
Check my reviews, I've eaten at a lot of lovely places in Barcelona (and around the world). This is not one of them.
For once I would say read the negative reviews for this place, they're spot on, not just people complaining.
I can't wait to see the snarky response I get for this review. They seem to not be able to accept negative feedback, which is just how the waiter was...

We have been there for a pizza and everything has been perfect! The food, the assistance, the atmosphere and the overall environment but also the price.
The waiter, the young lady, has been one of the most gentle I found so far in Barcelona: since the beginning, despite we were without a reservation and the local was already completely booked, she helped us in finding the best solution, giving us the first 2 seats as soon as possible.
From the outside the Restaurant looks a bit cold but once inside the atmosphere is very warm, professional and relaxed but never too much: it smells of Italy.
We ordered 1 Calabrese (with real Nduja) and 1 Capricciosa. Simply delicious. Thins but soft and airy on the border. We could feel straightaway the dough was light and well handmade cause at the end of the dinner, we didn’t feel any burdened!
At the end of the dinner, the same waiter offered a couple of very good typical Italian Limoncello shots, and all of this for a ridiculous price!
I can’t suggest more than this Italian restaurant, for all of those people seeking a real Italian pizza and food in Barcelona.
Highly suggested!

Read moreI am lucky enough to live near this absolutely delightful restaurant! The pizza and pasta are undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted — bursting with flavour! With some classic Margherita cooked to perfection; Tartufata — for burrata and truffles lovers; Napolitana — with anchovies, mozzarella to blow your mind; Siciliana, Toto, Calzione, Diabola.... No matter which pizza you chose, the pizza boss — Valerio will make it as delicious as humanly possible!
And it is not just the food that I love there, but the atmosphere in the restaurant is equally fantastic! The warmth and welcoming vibe makes me feel like I am in a cozy Italian home and it is hard not to feel completely at ease. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and their passion for their craft was evident in every dish they served.
All in all, I can't recommend this pizza restaurant enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Barcelona, it's an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves great Italian food, whether it is pizza or pasta;...
