A Memorable First Visit to Bodega Bonay Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Bodega Bonay, with one of my students named Arieke and thanks to an invitation from Jadi who is one of the talented managers at Casa Bonay. Although I wasn’t initially planning to have lunch, I was warmly welcomed and treated to an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We began our meal with a selection of shared starters: the Carpaccio of Celeri with lemon and Parmesan was refreshingly light, while the raw tuna with cashews and Raifort offered a delightful balance of flavors. The Bodega’s beef tartare was another highlight, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. For the main course, we followed the team’s recommendation and opted for the Tagliatelle with lamb ragout and the Iberian Saltimbocca. Both dishes were outstanding—the lamb ragout was rich and comforting, and the Saltimbocca was tender and full of flavor. The advice was truly a bullseye! Unfortunately, I had to skip dessert due to another appointment, but this only gives me more reason to return. My visit was made even more special by the personal tour Arieke gave me of Casa Bonay, showcasing everything this wonderful place has to offer. The passion and dedication of the team are evident in every detail. This was my first acquaintance with Bodega Bonay, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for the warm welcome and the exceptional...
Read moreMy sister suggested Bodega Boney to commemorate a date that I was rewriting its history & I was so pleased with the choice. Service was on point & altho we were seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen it was perfect think of a Barcelona version of The Bear but smaller. Nice to watch the Chef & his staff work their magic. It’s all perfect portions of tapas to share hence we started off w/fried olives (so delicious but indescribable) falafels with flat crispy chips (sorry for the description) raw tuna (2 1/2 star) 5 stars goes to the charcoal veal accompanied w/small salad & lamb ragout what dreams are made of! I’m still dreaming about that meal. We finished it off w/chocolate tart again heavenly! Of course all with a great glass of white wine. If ever in Barcelona take a trip here in the back is a bar with live music (didn’t go but will try on next visit) Thank you Bodega Bonay for the...
Read moreI’ve never repeated a restaurant twice on a holiday but this one deserved it. We wanted to try as much as possible on the menu after the first evening because we were blown away by the quality of the dishes (and wines). The celery carpaccio was surprising and delicious. The roasted lamb was perhaps the best lamb dish I’ve had in years, and the pork belly on toast blew my mind (I was a bit wary that it would be too heavy but it was well balanced and the flavors were refined). I’d also like to point out that sitting at the bar and watching the cooks work their magic was very special. The staff overall was attentive, kind and friendly! A truly...
