When I told my husband I wanted a Key Lime Pie for my birthday, he spent weeks searching for the best one in Madrid. I think he nailed it! Being raised in the south of the United States and spending many summers in Florida, a key lime pie was part of all of our special occasions - even Thanksgiving! I have a pretty high standard and to date, no KLP in Madrid has been good enough. I am happy to say, this pie is as close as it gets to the homemade versions I am used to back home. The crust was delicious, the consistency perfection and the tartness was spot on for our party guests. I personally like it a bit more tart, but I am out of the norm in that sense. My brother in law who isn´t a fan of lime/lemon at all asked for a second slice! I will definitely order another for when my mother comes to visit in the coming months. Thank you for the delish...
