What a shame. I walked by this little store months ago and have been meaning to find a moment to stop back. I finally found that moment this morning. Except when I reached forward to pick up a pair of earrings and show them to my husband, I was promptly stopped by the young saleslady. No touching the things in the window. I exclaimed, but we can't touch anything?, and she referred me to the other side of the store. How in the world a customer is supposed to buy something - especially pricey jewelry - without being allowed first to touch it is beyond me. I let her know that I had come to really spend some money. She told me, dryly, to have a good day. And we left. So buyers beware: a beautiful little store. Some nice azulejos, especially if you don't want to make the trip across the Triana bridge to get them at the ceramics factories there for a bit less. Some lovely jewelry. A nice collection of Joie d'Art pieces. But if I can't touch them, then I may as well buy them on the internet. A shame. I was looking forward to coming home with some new pieces this morning...
No íbamos a desorganizar nada. No somos gente grosera. Hubiéramos apreciado otro tono de voz, otra interacción. Total.
Read moreThis store was wonderful! We got a lot of souvenirs from here to bring back to the US for others, as well as great things for ourselves for our new house. We purchased a really colorful plate and small bowl, and wish that we could have bought the matching larger size matching bowl as well to bring back. There was so much in the store that we loved, and the store owner is such a great artist and was very kind and was sure to wrap our products ver well since we had to get it back to the US without it getting broken. I wish she had an online website where people could purchase her products. If you are ever visiting Sevilla, make it a point to...
