My experience at Bauhaus in Tarragona has been awful. In November 2014 we bought a 6000w Honda generator for 999€. One of the reasons we chose Bauhaus is due to their promise of a 5 year guarantee.
In June of this year the generator stopped giving out any charge, so we took it in to be repaired. We were told that we would have it back in a couple of weeks and would be contacted shortly.
By the end of July after hearing nothing from Bauhaus and never getting connected to anyone who knew how to help telephonically, we went in (twice) to enquire about it. On both occasions the sales assistants at the information/help desk told us that they didn't know how to find it on their computers - or where it was, but that someone who worked in the afternoons would contact us to let us know.
Again nobody contacted us. Mid August I finally found a sales assistant who knew how to use the system. She said that the generator is at a workshop in Barcelona and hasn't been repaired. When I asked why, she said that we hadn't given consent for it to be repaired and that the condensor needs replacing.
She told us that the condensor isn't covered by the guarantee. When I pointed out that the guarantee said all parts of the electrics and motor, she said that not all branches covered the electrics, it depended on the store...
She informed us that it will cost approximately 111€ to repair. When my husband pointed out that the part cost less than 10€ and is easy to replace, so we would rather they gave the generator back, she said that firstly, we wouldn't get it back before September, as the technician is on holiday, and it is locked in his workshop and secondly, that we would need to pay approximately 80€ for the transport fees even if it is not repaired. She was in no way apologetic for the lack of service or information and seemed to quite enjoy our predicament.
We feel completely ripped off and misguided.
This whole episode has not been due to a breakdown in communications, as we speak Spanish...

Les coses es van calentar, em vaig sentir molt mal i engadar, vaig anar al taulell d'atenció al client, van negar a donar-me el formulari de queixa i van insistir que els havia d'explicar el problema primer, vaig demanar parlar amb el director, era allà al gran pancartes que deien "tu persona de contacte", i van negar a donar una cita. Vaig trucar al telèfon per queixar-me i em van dir que ho intentés dilluns. Al final vaig consiguir deixar la fulla de quiexes. Pero vull fer mes, no es just deixar descriminació i racisme continuar a nostre país.. Molt irrespectuós i mai m'han tractat així. Si algú em pot ajudar Informarme legalement de que he de fer de denunciar aquesta acte de discriminació a les autoritats, poseu-vos en contacte amb mi. Mentrestant, no ajudeu a negocis que no respeteixen a la dignitat humana.
