Unide supermercado — Local services in Toledo

This supermarket was not so far from the apartment where I stayed for several days. During the four days in Toledo, I did not come across any other place that had so much on offer in terms of food.

The supermarket is orderly and neat.

There is supply of fresh bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and meat, cheese and charcuterie, different kinds of cereals, eggs, dairy products, frozen foods, sweets including the marzipan, beverages, care products, etc.

Among other things, I bought langoustines there. Although they were sold defrosted they tasted delicious! The bread is also flavorful and crusty. I forgot the name of the cheese sold pre-packaged at the fish department, but it too was super.

The only big market in the old city. More of a grocery store today. Nothing special, but I get most of my food there. Update: Completely reformed in 2024. New company La Despensa runs it now. Como supermercado está bien, pero el carnicero es un estafador. A parte de tener carne mediocre a precios más altos de la media, siempre se hace el tonto y pone más cantidad de la que se pide. Ya me ha pasado dos veces no estar atenta y al llegar a casa encontrarme dos filetes más de los que he pedido o similares. El remate para no volver jamás fue esta semana, que mandé a mi hermano a por carne para hacer a la plancha para unas tostas (dije que así se lo indicase) y le ha vendido carne llena de nervios de la que usa para hacer carne picada y a 14 euros el kilo. No hemos podido comernoslo porque al morder no había manera de romper con los dientes el pedazo. Vergonzoso. Recomiendo comprar la carne en las carnicerías de fuera del supermercado o en la carnicería de zocodover. Allí no sólo no estafan, sino que además venden buena calidad a...
