I had an exceptional experience with Ryan at the salon. As a foreigner who doesn’t speak Mandarin well, I was initially worried about communication. I scheduled an appointment with Leo on LINE and he was very responsive. When I got there, I was able to use some mix of broken Chinese with English, and he did his best to try to communicate with me in English. Unless you have good knowledge of hair styling related Chinese vocab, it’s in your best interest to bring photos to show what you want.

For me, I paid 650 NTD for a wash & cut. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Taipei, and hopefully with better Mandarin...

This is a very nice hair salon in Taipei. They offer a wide range of services and all their staff is so nice and friendly. What I really like is that you can ask for advice and they really take the time to wash and cut your hair.

For all the spontaneous foreigners who want to get their hair done here : it’s very normal in Taiwan to take the hair wash service before cutting (so you can not just come in and cut your hair) ;) Big plus point is that you will feel much prettier afterwards. ✨🥰 Washing your hair here is really comfortable!
