Beware! I didn't want to pay over 400baht to make a reservation online so I called. I was given an appointment for two treatments and quoted a price with a promotional discount. However, when I arrived, I was told that the room was not ready for the treatment I most was looking forward to and that it would not be ready for another 3 hours. I was disappointed, but said I'd do my first treatment and wait around to do the second one.
This is when the car salesman tactics came out. At first, I didn't realize it was happening and was very confused as to what the hold up was. Basically, they told me that they would not move the appt for the original treatment to the later time unless I signed up for an additional treatment. Huh? Anyways, I did sign up for another one just to get started and then they also informed me that the promotion I was quoted on the phone was for only hotel guests of a certain hotel. I should have walked out then. But I just wanted to get started on something as I booked the spa to relax.
The first treatment was good. The second was just okay. The third treatment - the one I came for - was great! I originally signed up for about 2200baht worth of treatments. I bought a bottle of shower gel which brought my total to over 4k baht. When I finished, I started to believe that the whole "the room isn't ready yet" was a ruse to get me to sign up for another treatment. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth so I won't be back. I'm not opposed to spending that kind of money for spa treatments. It was the "bait and switch" tactics for me.
Also, beware of the extra "service fees" as well. There is more than...
Read moreNOT OK, my therapist LEFT the room and hang me waiting!
This was a major disappointment. The experience started off well, but once we entered the treatment room, everything went downhill. The body scrub was fine, but the waiting time was unacceptable.
After showering, we had to wait far too long for the therapists to return. It was strange that no one was outside, especially for a high-end spa. We were told that shower time would be included in our package, so why was there such a long wait? My massage definitely didn’t last the promised 1.5 hours.
The worst part was after the body scrub. My friend’s therapist came back quickly, but after my shower, I was left waiting for an unreasonably long time. Eventually, my therapist arrived, then abruptly LEFT the room! I was shocked when another staff member told me the previous therapist was "absent."
To make matters worse, the new staff offered me just 5 extra minutes as compensation, which felt completely inadequate given how much time I had already wasted. I expected much more from a spa that claims to be famous. All I received was a simple apology, and I will be sharing my experience widely until someone addresses this...
Read moreI went to the branch - Sukhumvit 31 five years ago for a four hands massage, plus, last year in Phuket. It was an amazing experience. I found the quality decreasing a lot. Reservation problem: I called the same branch, they didn't ask me which branch to reserve, so I presume I'm calling to reserve this branch. But we went to the wrong place. It's very confusing. So they sent us to this branch. Massage skill: we have quite a lot of high-end spa treatments in Thailand. At least I remember 5 yrs ago, Oasis sap's therapist felt my body adjusting their pressure. This time, although I still fell asleep, but I felt the lady was just passing the oil gently, and sometimes a bit of pressure instead of feeling and interacting with my body. (Same as I found from other reviews.) In general, if it is your first time trying massage, it should be ok. Unfortunately, I think Oasis brand quality isn't...
