I've been to this location several times and these are my observations that have stayed consistent across the experience:

Hosting staff is not too great, easily overwhelmed.

Wait staff is very polite, but never, ever, ever able to bring the food out accurately or quickly. This last time, we ordered 4 times and got partially half of what we ordered in total. Other tables were leaving and threatening not to pay.

It ultimately got to a point where they told us to reorder everything. Of which only 50% of what we ordered came out... Oh well...

The salmon sashimi was still frozen for some pieces, and the beef was rather gristly. The pork was delicious as was all their various Kimchi offerings.

The charcoal stove is quite small and is a slow burning charcoal, so nothing cooks with speed , so if you're hungry, order the thin slice stuff and not the whole shrimp or thick ingredients, as they will take...

The most horrible buffet experience we have ever had. First, the very rude host warned us before we enter that only allow 50 mins, I understand the time limit if all the food are prepared. However, this is a barbecue place, they will need to assume that customers need time to cook the food. Second, we barely get what we ordered, very reluctant to bring the food. Food portions are comparative small. We went to the buffet next door which costs 200 more, but we had a great time there. The service is way better, also better value of food. Third, the business hour is till 11pm, but all the sauce on the table are taken away at 10pm. There are many many choices for buffet in Bangkok, but King Kong definitely is not the one. Yakiniku price, but not the style of service despite they do have some decent food, but...

Was here 2 weeks ago and had a terrible experience! Hostess was rude when she greeted us, all the staff looked like they were miserable and didn't want to be there and the food was very average. I had a hard time ordering as none of the waitresses spoke English and even when my husband spoke to them in Thai, we had issues understanding each other. The place looked really run down and dingy, and the waitress kept putting the trolley with all the dirty dishes next to our table! On top of this, they kept mopping the floor while we ate! Safe to say I lost my appetite and left halfway...

At KingKong, we opted for their deluxe all-you-can-eat deal at 1499++ THB per person. While the giant river prawns were fresh, I felt the price demanded better beef, like Wagyu. Service was a bit slow, too. Still, KingKong's ambiance and quality ingredients make it a solid choice for seafood lovers. But if you're after top-notch beef, you might want to explore other options. Overall, KingKong offers a royal dining experience, but there's room for improvement.
