Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant that’s ever popular with locals and tourists alike. It is rather difficult to get to as it’s a long walk from the nearest BTS station. Unless you take the river bus transport. I took Grab.
Arrived at 11.30 and the place was already full with a queue outside. Here’s how the system works. One staff is standing near the entrance and you get your name registered with him. Browse through the menu and place your order. You join the queue after that. I ordered a plate of mantis shrimps with garlic (450 bahts) and a plate of crab meat mama noodles (600 bahts). As you wait outside, you get to hear the kitchen staff yelling the orders out to the cooks as he packs the food for takeaway orders as well. Chaos to you but it’s a well oiled machine that churns out the food.
Got my table after 15 minutes. My crab mama noodles took another 20 mins to arrive. For 600 baht, this is a huge plate of noodles with loads of crab meat piled on top of the noodles, so much so until you almost cannot see the fried noodles below. Love the noodles that had such wok heat and the large chunks of crab simply made it even more irresistible. Only problem was the spice level and after a few mouthful, it hits you.
The mantis shrimps were not that fantastic. Loads of garlic made it better but the shrimps were not the most fresh I have had and were rather small in size. Texture also suggests they may have been frozen before. But it’s nice to have the shell all peeled off and ready to eat mantis shrimp meat.
All in all, not too bad a place. I should have ordered the house specialty, their crab omelette. Next time.
Expensive but recommended. Try to come earlier than I did to...

🍜 Food wise: Huge portion of Fried rice, seemed to be for 3 people, many shrimps in one plate, all super fresh, sweet and crunchy, easy to peel off the skin. Strong flavours of tom yum in the rice, super fragrant, slightly too salty only, and oh quite spicy, delicious!
With the same quality as the shrimp, the shrimp with garlic gives a change in flavour, deep fried garlic, is crispy, aromatic, and generous amount, the goodness coats the shrimps well. This shrimp is not spicy though. Do dip the green chilli that they provided!
The soft cooked crab in the omelette was cooked with a super generous amount of real crab meat, one can still see many of the crab legs as a whole, sweet juices of the crab made up the gravy of the dish, and feels slightly creamy, gives the kind of silky finish to the omelette. This dish was well seasoned, savoury, sweet, and rich in crab flavour, awesome!
✨ Ambience-wise: There is air conditioning! However, if you are the first customer, they may not have turned on yet. Clean eatery!
