Update This morning I woke up to bruised feet and ankles from my feet hanging off the edge of the table as described in my review below. With this, I am revising my review to one star.
Original review:
My intuition told me I shouldn’t go to this shop. I thought it was place set up for tourist - a big machine turning out mediocre massages.
I should’ve listened to my intuition.
I give the Massage 3 1/2 stars. The pressure was light and the massage was mechanical. It was professionally delivered but nothing memorable.
So why only two stars in the rating?
Is the most uncomfortable massage table I have ever been on. The idea of a massage is to deliver relaxing comfort to you as you receive it. This simple objective cannot be achieved when the table hurts your body as you receive the massage.
This table was not only 6 inches too short, it was barely wider than my shoulders and hard as a rock. The table was so narrow that it was difficult to rest my arms beside me without them falling off. The end of the table hit me about the ankles, So my feet dangled off the edge.
It was less than comfortable. When you receive a massage your mind wanders and often thinks that you are really glad you’re getting this massage. I wish I felt that way tonight. All I could think of was how much more time before I get off of this table. I contemplated the idea of stopping the massage because I was so uncomfortable.
Besides the feet, the hard table was tough on the knees. Try Being stretched out facedown on a table surface that is hard and have someone press down on your knees. It’s not something you want to experience. I might as well have been stretched out face down on a short stone slab with someone’s pressing down on my knees.
So here’s my advice: Go to a smaller shop where the owner is actually present and works to deliver good quality services in a personal and professional manner. You’re likely to have a better massage experience at a better price.
Avoid this massage...

Was quite disappointed to see how the standards have dropped tremendously. The masseurs were basically just applying lotion throughout the session. There was no pressure point massage, no kneading of knots/joints, no kneading of the soles of your feet. Zero. Just applying lotion and moving their hands up and down your calves throughout and throughout the session. I patronise Thai massages often enough to tell you this is a complete waste of 450baht. Perhaps this outlet is getting too busy or popular, so the masseurs are new/inexperienced or just plain lazy.
For many years this has been a fantastic place if you are looking for an affordable no-frills authentic Thai massage. They have been operating even before the pandemic and the quality of the massage was still very consistent when I came last year (2022). However recently, perhaps due to the sudden surge of tourists coming to Bangkok, it seems that they have become too popular and overwhelmed and unable to cope with the demand. There is absolutely no proper queuing process or reservation system in place. The whole process is chaotic and people are just crowding all over the reception area. This is a big store with at least 3-4 storeys high you would expect better management from them. They are not able to give you an expected waiting time and won't allow you to make reservations too. Be prepared to queue at least 30-60 minutes, although the massage here is still good and consistent no doubt about that. Coming here and getting a massage has become an exclusive experience. Try your luck if you're in the area, but if not, just cross the overhead bridge and go to Phunnee Massage they are...
Read moreI had a traditional Thai massage + warm aromatic herbal compress, which I loved. The masseuse was professional and skilled. The Thai massage is similar to a medical massage (stretching, yoga, kinesics), so expect it to hurt a little (no pain no gain), but it’s really worth it if you want a deep healing treatment. All my mussels were very contracted so this is exactly what I needed. She turned me upside down and cracked all my back bones back to their right position. I felt like I no longer need to pay for expensive physiotherapy procedures as she performed the same. The final part with warm aromatic herbal compress was sooo pleasant and relaxing, well deserved after suffering in pain, hahaha. The next day I am feeling brand new.
While waiting for the massage, I had a manicure and pedicure, the worst I’ve ever had in my life! A child could probably do it better…Perhaps I was unlucky with the worker or she was tired from a long day, but it’s unlikely that I will try it again here.
So definitely I suggest go to Lek for a massage (5 stars), don’t waste your money on the...
