I was visiting bangkok with elderly parents and wanted to book a suite as it would be easy for them to move around, have some space. I wanted an indian restaurant nearby too just incase i couldnt find alternatives. When i made a booking, i couldn’t find any other rooms in the hotel, so i ended up booking 2 one bedroom suites for 3 people. Having stayed at multiple hotels across Thailand, there were certain expectations. The lobby was disappointing, nothing like the usual hotels. We went up to the room and it was so so so basic. There were no aesthetics, no flowers, no fruits.. lighting was dim, furniture seems old , room was not vacuumed. I felt super disappointed and regretted terribly not looking for an alternative. There were so many things not right. no smart tv, but room controls were smart like how would someone not techie like elders know , the controls were embedded in a TV ? Not sure..basic smart tv should be there these days for some entertainment. Breakfast was alright, basic items. Not a great variety. Fruits had 3-4 varieties only (p.s - fruits are really yummy in Thailand, mangoes are usually served) There was a lot of noise coming in from some bikes n cars in the night even though its located inside. For sensitive sleepers, it may not be very apt. Rooms were not greatly maintained, very basic housekeeping, no vaccum or mopping unless requested for. Handtowels were not replenished. Water in one of the rooms was not draining out. Toiletries were so basic, ended up using my own. Had to flush thrice minimum for the toilet to be clean. Room doors wouldn’t shut properly, it was scary the first day. The restaurant Punjab Grill was just okay, we had asked for chapati instead of naan or tandoori roti as it might be hard for elderly, but the staff refused without even checking with the kitchen. I am unsure why it is Michelin guide restaurant as the food was super basic and heavy ( like loaded with masala) What tipped me off the most was, 16$ phone bill for a 5 mins local phone call to a spa for booking. The detailed bill said 60 baht for call and 360 Baht for surcharge + tax. I can understand if it’s an international call, but charges for a local call is outrageous. There is no transparency on the charges, not mentioned anywhere near the phone / bedside. The staff was clueless on how its computed. What was okay is the friendly staff, but Thailand is a place where people smile and are warm all the time, so no credits to the hotel here. Highly disappointing stay for the amount i paid for 4 nights (1600$++) , would have gotten a beautiful hotel for that amount. I would suggest for one to check thoroughly and choose these suites, its old furniture, rooms, pillows are hard.. there is nothing great as such. Trust me, there are lovely hotels in Thailand with good amenities , hospitality, decor, ambience and services! I wanted to give my parents and beautiful Thailand experience and usually stay matters, this was contrastingly opposite to what i...
Read moreWe are frequent travelers and not picky people, by any means. ||||Never, in all of our travels around the world, have we ever stayed in a more filthy or stinky room! ||||It seriously looked like nothing had ever been wiped down. There was soap scum all over the shower glass, dust everywhere, smudges and blobs of dirt all over the bathroom walls, missing flooring, filthy gross chairs, and the entire suite smelled like someone had died in it. It was horrendous! ||||Upon messaging the hotel about our concerns, someone did reach out to me and they then tried to call our suite. As I was in the shower when they called, my husband asked them to call back in 10 minutes. They did not and, as we were on our way to a dinner cruise, we did not have time to wait. ||||They offered to move us but, it was our last night in Bangkok before a 4:00 am wake up to head back home to Canada. ||||Every other hotel that I booked kept the reservation open for me and I was able to cancel, up to 24 hours ahead of time. I can see why this hotel makes you pay the full fee upfront with a ZERO cancellation policy. Once you check in, you realize how dirty and outdated everything is. And, the smell... 🤢||||We also had to call down to the main desk as, our toilet wouldn't flush properly when we first arrived and then stopped flushing all together within 6 hours of us being there. The person who answered the call immediately asked if we had flushed toilet paper. We said that we had and then got blamed as that being the reason it wouldn't flush. We had stayed in budget hotels all throughout Thailand and never had any issues with those hotels. Additionally, if you don't want people flushing toilet paper, maybe try communicating that to them and have a sign in the bathroom. Our bathroom sink barely drained as well and, when I tried to switch over the shower to the hand-held nozzle the gasket came off and the nozzle would not work. ||||The place is so dirty that, at some point, someone has looked out the front door peep hole and the oils from their face formed a perfect face stain that hasn't been wiped down at all. All of the walls, doors, mirrors, and back splash have smudges, dirt, and dust all over them. I had to wipe the toilet with our own Lysol wipes when we first got in the room as there was a sizeable brown smear on the seat. ||||This morning, after we already checked out, I did receive an email saying that, should we stay with them again, they would offer a free upgrade on a room and a dinner. As if we would ever stay there again! We travel at least 4 times a year and have never stayed in a more disgusting room. ||||Steer clear of this place. Look at other reviews that say the same. My mistake for thinking that I could trust a Radisson. ||||The staff really are very nice at this hotel. That is their only...

I was quite skeptical about staying at a hotel based in a rowdy neighborhood of Sukhumvit district, fearing the noise and overwhelming tourist crowd I have to endure. But this place was quite a surprise, nestled in a quieter bubble and even surrounded by a sweet patch of greenery. Couldnt have asked for anything more. And given the money I paid for the stay this place is easily the best value for money option (if you are looking for limited luxury) in this part of town!
LOCATION: Located in the heart of the Sukhumvit area (near the rowdy Soi 11) and close to multiple Metro/BTS train stations.
DINE + DRINK: The signature Lobby level PUNJAB Grill is a fine dining Indian restaurant and quite popular with locals and visitors. This place also serves the breakfast
ROOM: I stayed in Room 1005, which was a JUNIOR SUITE, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the high-rise buildings nearby and Bangkok’s signature skyline; SIZE: The suite has a HUGE living room with a couch and TV and an equally huge Bedroom that comes attached with a big Closet area. A great option for a Long term/Extended stay AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa-quality toiletries by Radisson brand
FACILITIES: A decent Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines, fit for a good workout. The outdoor Swimming pool is a great option for an aqua workout or a chilled-out lounging
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the FRONT OFFICE folks who enhanced my stay and also allowed me to do a super early check-in without making any kind of fuss, or charging me!
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...
