All the staff seems quite sweet, but the salon is not well organized, equipped or clean. Still, these are things one may be willing to overlook, if the substantial work was done properly.. by my experience this is not the case: maybe the stylist was tired or had to focus on other customers, but the communication and customer care were quite poor, so much so that I ended up with just a few sparse highlights, and much darker than what we had agreed. Also the styling part is done a bit shabbily, as they ask you how you’d want your hair styled only after they have clumsily blown dried them.. this doesn’t leave out a ton of styling options.. Maybe I had too many expectations considering the reviews, maybe the salon was understaffed for the number of customers it had that day.. but definitively this wasn’t an experience worth the money and I wouldn’t really recommend this salon.
EDIT: To respond to the owner - I hope that you can take my feedback as an opportunity to see what it could be improved (as we have all wide margins of improvement, as human beings and in our work). From your response, I understand that communication with customers maybe it is something you may want to re-consider, as clearly there was some problem there.. You wrote that you tried to "extract" from me some information, which is an interesting choice of wording... Indeed I did not have a picture of me with the hair colour that I would have wanted, which is not something that exceptional, as you may have many other customers who do not have such a picture, either because they have not one in their phones (not everyone is selfie-obsessed) or because they precisely want to change their hair colour - and unsurprisingly that may be the very reason why they may come to see you?! If you need to see pictures to have a better idea, you might consider offering to your customers a few catalogues, or ask them to provide you one from the internet.. just a suggestion. In any case, I know that I communicated very clearly, as I remember I stated it multiple times, that I wanted to avoid at any rate highlights with any red or copper undertones. I think that you will also be able to remember that. But, sadly, the highlights that I had done by you are indeed quite reddish, so much so that this is clearly an example of how the communication failed. I could continue by pointing out that some tonalizing of the pre-existing highlights for overall harmonization would have been nice, and that proper hair styling still requires hair to be wet again, but I think that I made my point clear, and I also know that you did not have sufficient trained staff that day to cater to all your customers colouring and styling needs. I am sure that you do your work with great passion and intentions, and I hope that you will continue to find ways to improve and grow in your business, by also being able to acknowledge failures and shortcomings without shame, so to learn from...
Read moreAfter a terrible experience in 2018 in another salon in Bangkok, I stopped doing highlights. My colour was ruined and I was too scared to try a new place. This salon was recommended by a friend who always had beautiful highlighted hair and it took me a while to go, but I finally did and I only wish I had gone sooner! Pam is fantastic. You can tell right away she knows what she's doing. I rarely felt I could trust a new hairdresser with my hair before seeing the result, but I didn't feel stressed at all there. And I'm so happy with what she did. The lady who washed my hair was really good too. Best shampoo I've had in a while. Very relaxing. I had been told prices were reasonable and they definitely are. Compared to Europe but also to other salons in Bangkok. A really nice experience and I'm now hoping she stays in business for many more years so I can keep having my...
Read moreI have visited Anderson salon many times over the years and have always appreciated how Pam takes an interest in her clients. She gives informed advice on how to maintain colour and gives clients enough time for their hair to process properly. Your slot is never rushed and the price shows how Pam isn’t in this business for profit, unlike other salons in Bangkok who charge an extortionate rate. Whilst Pam was on maternity leave, I visited another Salon that was recommended by others and the hairdresser ruined my hair colour. Pam, kindly gave me advice and suggestions on how to fix it. Even though she only recently had a child, she is back in the flow giving clients information about future appointment slots and her availability. The salon is clean, calm and relaxing located at the end of a leafy soi...
